"It's been the greatest experience I've ever had, playing with a group of guys, everyone with one thing in mind: winning a championship," Marbury told The Post.

The other bit!
“They’re still the champs,” Marbury said. “I can’t say me. I say they. They know the formula. I’m learning it.”
I liked that bit too. Show’s that he’s at least ‘clear’ on his position within the team: we root for him like he’s one of us, but he’s not one of us just yet. (Sorry Steph!)

He Is One Of Us
He wears a Celtic uniform. He’s paid by the Celtics. He practice with the Celtics and on his own at theWaltham facility. He’s on the floor with the Celtics during games and plays the backup pg position. How is he not one of us?

Good point.
But still I feel like he’s got to prove himself :) I think you’ve got to have been through something with the team before you’re part of it. And he just got here.
Therefor, I’d say he’s not one of them yet :)

Marbury has been fantastic compared to what I thought of him before he came here, hes said all the right things, and there has been absolutely no media frenzy or weird/bad episodes involving him, hes basically been complelty on the downlow and is really trying to help us…good for him

true that...
and from what I’ve seen from him so far, he is still getting better, still working at it, a great attitude to see. I believe he will make some important plays for us during the playoffs…

Just give it time
All the posters on CelticsBlog can’t be wrong, this guy is going to be a cancer, has no business being on this team, provides nothing on the court, and for sure will destroy the chemistry of this team. Don’t listen to a word he says or pay attention to how he is behaving, his past reputation is the best predictor of his future attitude ;)

this guy has got to go...
have to laugh at the bloggers who thought this was just an awful idea that would bring the team down… it was such a no lose situation it was a no brainer. bring a player who has everything to lose and everything to prove for the veteran minimum. oh yah and he is a multi-time all-star averaging 7apg in his career. sorry brickowski.
