To the Lover of All 90s Music....
Just so you know Jeff – if you pull out a C&C Music Factory line/song I will officially quit as Editor.
Nice win there tonight. Loved that Steph played down the stretch – great that he got some pseduo-crunch time experience.
When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"

Atta boy, Paul
Looks like the 06-07 Celtics can still beat the 08-09 Sixers.

LOL. I was gonna say, sometimes I miss those old days, Paul’s a treat to watch.

i hope eddie got a whole season’s worth of booboos and bad shots off in this game because that’s what it looked like. i give doc credit for sticking with him in this game and for sticking wth marb who looked like he was not ready for prime time. pp. and tony were great and tony for the most part was under control and playing great d. good for leon. doesn’t mikki look like one of those pinball balls always banging around and getting flipped ?

wow, the sixers are so bad even at full strength
and we will probably get them in the 1st round (with a sixers loss or a bulls win tomorrow).
that is a gift from the heavens.

My best case scenario!!!
Yep!
No shooting threat and no reliable half court offense!
I was dreaming of facing the sixers and let Detroit, chicago and Miami bother the Cavs, Magic and Hawks!
This is actually our best case scenario!
We will take care of the Magic, with them coming out of a tough first round…
Then we will steal the first game in Cleveland, after they went 6 games in the first and second rounds…
We will beat the Cavs in 6 thanks to that Game 1 victory in Cleveland and taking care of home court…
Then we will loose against the fakers in Game 1 before winning 4-1 (yes four in a row!) and celebrate here in Boston!!

2006 Celtics...
Is it just me or could we have put that starting five on the floor in 2006? (Rondo, T. Allen, Pierce, Powe and Perkins). What a difference a couple of years can make.

We Could Have
But we wouldn’t have won anything. All those players are better now because we are no longer a remedial basketball team for high schoolers, among other things.

How did the 06 Cetlics do against the 76ers anyway?
The 2nd unit played a nice game. This was the first game Starbury was able to explose to the basket a couple of times. But they almost blew a few 2-on-1, 3-on-2 fastbreaks. Why would House take that shot in a 2-on-1 in a close game? Mistakes like these would kill us.

i could tell we had the win-
even when we were down by 10-
this will be a good first round warm up-

A few questions
With nothing but the box-score to look at, I’d like someone to explain something to me;
Rondo. Where was he?
Oh, and also, how could we win by just 2 points? What’s up?

The whole 2nd unit played extended minutes in the late 3rd into the 4th.
Don’t complain about the small winning margin. We were down by 10 at one point. The reserve sort of dug us out of the hole, then the starters came back to hold on to win.

Rondo was terrible. Marbury was unquestionably the best point on the floor, bringing energy, attacking on offense, distributing the ball well and actually playing a little defense. No need at all for Rondo in the fourth.

This probably is the best game for Starbury so far. On that blown 2-on-1 break, if he was handling the ball instead of House, we would have gotton a layup or a dunk instead of the missed shot by House.

I knew Rondo was having a bad night...
….when we had a 3 on 1 and Rondo passed the ball to the only guy that was covered, totally ignoring a wide open red-hot Pierce on his left. That play was just baffling. If I didn’t know better I’d think he did it on purpose.

Not complaining,
just didn’t see the game, so I asked about it :)
Thanks for explaining.
Got anything on his low assist/turnover ratio?

Wow - weird Game. 7 made threes for Pierce along with 31 points but zero boards and not a single free throw attempt. Oh… and don´t forget retro Tony. Great win! ;)

The Best Part Of The Game
If you had the good fortune to see the game on Comcast you were able to see the repeat of game 6 from ’81 I think. That was the series that we were down 3-1 against Philly and came back to win it. Comcast showed the clip of Max going after a fan who did something when Max went into the stands on a play. They also showed Max laughing when he saw the clip last nite. Pleasant memories.
