Ray Allen: Free Throw King
If all goes as expected, Celtics guard Ray Allen will finish the regular season with a franchise-record for free throw shooting and the fourth highest mark in NBA history.
Allen has shot a career-best .952 after making 237 of 249 free throws and isn't expected to play in the season-finale tonight against Washington.

So impressive...
Shooting that well from the free throw line could be as impressive as a stat as there is in basketball…just insane. Well done Ray!

Manuel Aristides Ramirez is the greatest hitter I've ever seen.
Abounding hitters, no clue about the pitching staff: Beware the Bizarro Dodgers!
Awesome for Ray, but...
… he didn’t mention that also this year, Jose Calderon set the all time record this year with 98.026% (min. 125 FTA)**. So yes, 2 of the top 4 all time FT% seasons were accomplished this year.
**(Unless Calderon goes 0-4 tonight, he will set the record)
...this year
apologies from the Department of Redundancy Department
he did mention Calderon
I just left that part out

About Calderon
The guy is the perfect example of work ethic and evolution. In his season in Alicante’s Team, he shot 65% from the line. It was about 6 years ago.
