Pruitt, six assists in 21 minutes
Assists around the league 15 April (not comprehensive) ranked by made assists per minute:
Earl Watson 14 assists in 29 minutes (every 2.07 minutes)
Chalmers 10 assists in 21 minutes (every 2.1 minutes)
Paul 14 assists in 47 minutes (assist every 3.36 minutes)
Pruitt
Gabe had six assists in 21 minutes (every 3.5 minutes) (Gabe also added 3 steals)Nash 10 assists in 36 minutes (every 3.6 minutes)
Marbury
Stephon had 8 assists in 39 minutes (every 4.9 minutes)Szczerbiak, 8 assistes in 43 minutes (every 5.4 minutes)
Watson and Chalmers enjoyed excellent production, but Watson was playing the Clippers, while Chalmers helped Miami past Detroit in overtime. Paul's team lost to the Spurs in overtime. I like it that the Celtics enjoyed solid production from two players.
Question: Do assists come with greater difficulty the fewer the minutes played?
Be well, Danny!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

And?
Dude, it was in the last regular season game of the year, against the leagues worst team, who just happens to have his best friend from college on its squad.

Still a Pruitt supporter
Pruitt and Young are good friends. Most understand that friends compete passionately against each other. Apart from that, I was looking for a more analytical response than, “Dude, it was the last game.” Oh well…
Well, it's usually not smart to draw many conclusions from a single game
Especially in a meaningless one at the end of the season. But, you’re right: Pruitt did play well, probably due in some part to the fact that Nick Young was on the other team.
If Pruitt is on the team next season, he’s going to need to mature about a billion years. The guy is too deferential. He needs to be more assertive out there and not be afraid to fail. I like his skills, his athleticism, his jump shot and his defense, but I wonder if he has the will and smarts to put it together. He needs to feel he belongs and I don’t think he feels that yet…

More assertion, yes
I fully agree. He’s got to be more assertive. I’d love to see him remain a Celtic. He reminds me a little of Sam Jones in style.
He was great
Gabe played really well and considering this was the first game he had any significant minutes, he played great. It makes me feel good having him on our team for the playoffs.
He played excellent basketball
Probably the finest performance of his career, I was really impressed.
But it’s one game. A garbage game.
