Rondo and Bobby Orr
Last night in the chat room I predicted Rondo was going to get hurt and about five minutes later it happened. Rondo reminds me of a young Bobby Orr. Orr would rsuh up the ice with the puck and no one could stop him. Rondo is a lot like that. However, he exposes his body way to much and falls hard to court far too many times. He needs to look at the sadly shortened career of Bobby Orr. By the end of his career, Orr could barely walk because of injured knees. I love Rondo's energy but he really needs to learn a little more about self preservation.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

you could say the same about bird, but the thing that made him great was not just his skills, but his competitive heart and hustle….yeah, it could possibly shorten rondo’s career a bit, but i’d rather see each person on this team giving 150% NOW instead of trying to lengthen their careers into passive and half decent ones by playing 75%

Rondo and Bobby Orr
As great as Rondo is, and I am his biggest supporter and he is quickly becoming my favorite player on the C’s, he isn’t Orr. Rondo’s problem is he leavee himself in very awkward and vulnerable position as he turns and twists around the rim. He needs to go up stronger and initiate contact like Chris Paul does, or ot take a football analogy – as Walter Payton used to do it. Take it the other team and inflict force on the opponent before he does to you.
As for Bobby Orr, he is the greatest player to ever lace up a pair of skates. Growing up in Montreal, he was God in the early 70"s, greater than any Canadiens player was – I guess that’s why to this very day there are still so many Bruins fans in this city. That is a testament to his greatness!
