Glad to see Danny's optimism

I’m pretty confident as well – I just need to see KG in the lineup to feel really good about our chances

The optimism is good.

It has taken this KG-less stretch for us to realize how much better Rondo, Perk, Baby and Powe all got. Baby is playing out of his mind and I hope it carries over into the playoffs.

Stephon and Mikki are def. getting more comfortable. One of the most glaring improvements in the second unit has been Eddie House. He was great/clutch last season, but paired with Stephon’s passing I think he’s playing really well. He’s such an incredible shooter and is an ideal backup for Ray.

Everyone has significantly stepped up their game since KG’s been injured. I’m confident that whatever shape KG comes back in, it’ll be another big boost.

Eddie

The main thing that has allowed House to look better is that he’s now able to play his true position. He’s done better since dropping, for the most part, the pg duties. If Marbury does nothing else, his being in the game with House lets Eddie do his thing and Marbury and House seem to have developed a chemistry. House has also been playing more with Rondo and/or Pierce and/or Ray who can all do the ball handling. So I don’t think Eddie has really improved. He’s always been the shooter that he is. He just looks improved because he’s now allowed to play his true position.

Lol @ Lakers
Not because they almost lost to the clippers, but because of there constant jabs or disrespect to the celtics..

gotta love Odoms Quote “Happy we won, especially looking at Cleveland and Orlando,”

Um, what? first of all, both of those teams are in the east , secondly – orlando is 3rd, right now, THE CELTICS (you know that team that embarrased you in the finals lamar?) has as good a chance to catch LA as Orlando…so that comment just rubs me the wrong way as if hes saying Lakers will be in the finals and want homecourt over Orlando or Cleveland…

Odom can't shock me with his comments.

I respect the Lakers, but I have very little respect for Odom.

Its the type of comment thats been coming out of the lakers locker room all year
Like derek fishers quote earlier in the season “we lost in the finals because the celtics knew ir was there only oppurtunity and we’ll be back”

the lakers have had a sense of entitlement all year, they think theyre better then they are and now there basically saying they’ll be in the finals and want homecourt over Cavs or Magic (assumingly they must think the celtics are done)

Did Fisher really say that?

I can see an uneducated Lakers fan saying something like that, but a professional player? The Celtics are a nice blend of youth and vet, not some rec league team. We have KG, Pierce, and Allen — how can someone say we don’t have a chance to continue winning championships? I can see someone questioning it during these season (because of injuries) but right after we won a championship? That’s right, because Fisher is so much younger than the Big 3. C’mon Fisher, I expect better from you. Or do I?

by BOSPORTS on Apr 6, 2009 11:50 AM EDT up reply actions

Yup, fisher said something right along those lines before the christmas game this season

they also said they wouldve won with bynum healthy, and also said they were a quarter away from winning the finals( what quarter is what im wondering, last I checked you gotta win 4 games, not 2 or 3)

Anyways, what boggles my mind with odoms “looking at cleveland and orlando” quote is…WHY is odom looking at the #1 and #3 seed in the east and seemingly overlooking boston…why is he already worried about the east?….did he black out, think he was a celtic or that the lakers are in the east? I mean, it just doesnt make sense…whats next paul pierce is gonna be worried about what Denver and San Antonio are doing?

by TheAncientRivalry on Apr 6, 2009 11:57 AM EDT up reply actions

Odom would assume that Odom is overlooking the fact that they first have to win the west before facing any team from the East…. I’d love to see them bounced out in the first round. It would serve them right for underestimating every team in the West.

Perk and Powe... the Next Big Thing

Odom just provided alot of bulletin board material for the C’s and alot of other teams, Celtics must be running out of room. Lakers sense of entitlement is ridiculous they have yet to do anyrhing. I will have a big smile on my face when they get eliminated in an early round or in the finals once again.
