Pierce All-NBA second team
"Pierce, who was named to the third team in 2002, '03, and last year, received 27 first-team votes. The Celtics' Kevin Garnett, a first-team choice last year, was 17th in the balloting. Celtic guards Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo also received votes."

Ray should have been in the second team
He got overlooked once again (the ASG comes in mind first).

Congrats Paul
I wouldn’t trade him for Nowitski but, It’s hard to complain that he should have been picked over him for 1st team. I did find it interesting he wasn’t very far behind him and Dunkan for 1st team. I think he’s finally getting some well deserved props.

I second this
Seriously, did the voters think that this was for the all-star game?

Pierce 1st Team
I think the leader and most consistent guy who played 82 games for a 62 win team deserves 1st Team All-NBA more than Dirk. But I guess it’s all about stats for these teams so I can see why they made Dirk a first teamer and Pierce a second.

We'll agree to disagree
I won’t say Pierce deserves to be first team, but I will say Dirk doesn’t. The Western conference is a conference the top 9 teams feed of the bottom teams to pad their records between 15-20 wins.

I can agree with that
I didn’t think of Dirk as a first teamer this year either. Paul was actually really close to making that 2nd forward on 1st team…330 points to Dirk’s 383 and 27 first place votes to Dirk’s 35 first place votes.

Congrats Paul.
Now let’s wrap this up tomorrow night and shove some kryptonite down Superwoman’s throat while we’re at it!!

Good on Ya Paul!
Ray Allen not on at least the third team is a travesty.

Might be trolling here but...
Who would you take off the team for Ray Allen? Kobe? No. Wade? No. Roy? No. Paul? No. Billups? No. Parker? No. Ray Allen just isn’t that good anymore.

‘Ray Allen just isn’t that good anymore’
Can you really make that statement? Not if you’ve watched him this season. Guess guys who ’aren’t that good anymore’ can have a career game dropping 51 points.

"Ray Allen just isn't that good anymore"
LOL, I see you haven’t watched any Celtics games this year. He was arguably our best player.

He is still a really good player...
He just ain’t all-NBA anymore. Like I said, who are you going to replace with Ray Allen?

A joke
Please, it’s more of a popularity contest then it is putting the great basketball players together…
When I first saw this and notice no Kevin Garnett among the first 3 selections and Dirk… Dirk… yes Dirk made the 1st NBA-Allstar Team I knew right there and then that Cuban was stuffing the Ballots !!!
And to top it off Pau Gasol ???
Sorry, I start my team with Kevin Garnett over these two, PERIOD

My biggest complaint was the selection of that overweight, overrated, lottery-bound blowhard Shaquille O’Neal for the 3rd team. If he’s so good, why were the Suns in the toilet?
There are at least 6 centers I would have picked over O’Neal, and Kendrick Perkins is one of them.
