potential Cavs cakewalk

I know Cleveland wouldn’t see it this way but if they get a title this year without having to face either the C’s or Lakers I’d see it as a less-legitimate title. Sure, the C’s and Lakers would have no one but themselves to blame for not getting past the other competition to get to the Cavs but it would reflect on the Cavs not having played the toughest competition.

Not that the C’s and Lakers are out yet and the Cavs haven’t got the title but Orlando and either Denver/Houston would not offer the same resistance to a championship.

Right…it would be be Cavs fault that the Lakers and Celtics couldn’t beat lesser teams. This isn’t the BCS guy, win or go home. No excuses. What’s funny here is that the Rockets aren’t missing a Hall of Famer, but they also don’t have 2 others still suiting up.

but the fact of the matter is the cavs beating the nuggets would not be nearly as impressive as the celtics beating the lakers last year.

Let's assume the Lakers get by Houston at home. If the league doesn't do it's

usual “We love the Lakers” thing, Denvers going to beat them. I don’t think Cleveland has a cakewalk over Denver. They’ve changed for the better (greatly better) since they traded for Billups.
