76ers Hire Eddie Jordan
ESPN.com reports Eddie Jordan is new Sixers coach. Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau was a candidate, but still has a shot at another job as he is slated to interview with the Kings on Saturday about their head coach opening in Las Vegas. If Thibodeau doesn't get Kings job, Celtics president Danny Ainge has said the free agent will have a contract offer awaiting him to return to Boston.

Great Horses..........
…………..make great trainers.
Great players……………make great coaches.
Rarely the other way around.
No disrespect, just calling it like I see it. Come back Tom T. With a healthy team next year, you can stir the brew again.
For as many great players that make great coaches, there’s at least 2x that are horrible. Magic Johnson, Bob Cousy are just a couple that come to mind. ex-players as coaches seem to be more the popular pick these days, but there was a time when a lot of great coaches were just that, great coaches that came up through the ranks.

Huh?
I guess I can see how you could read it that way.
However, as I read it, he’s saying that coaches who can be described as ‘great’ are, at least in part, a result of the players made available to them
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk
Eddie Jordan was good pick
He got screwed in Washington. Fired for not winning when all his starters were injured.
However, all we need to do is get past Sacramento – another team prone to doing the wrong thing and some dark horse team that is liable to need a coach by summer’s end and we’ll have him back
Thibs deserves a head coaching job
With that said, he still has a chance in Sacramento, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him back in Green (in a very selfish way).

Not surprising
This is why the 76`ers are the 76`ers!
No titles in 26 years…and their champiodship “drought” has barely begun.
