"Boston has no shot at beating Orlando," Barkley said on TNT Saturday night. "Without Kevin Garnett, they struggled against the Bulls. I don’t think they have any chance and Orlando wins it in six."

Cant argue with that
Magic in 6 for sure
Evan Almighty does not call his home runs because he thinks that's so 20th century. He simply uses technology and tells the GPS where to take the ball.
turkey-glue= Mr.4th quarter
Winslow, Ward, Leftwich, Freeman, Crowell, Stroughter, and Miller???? VERY NICE!

sounds a lot like the NBA
finals last year…boston has no shot to beat the lakers…..i believe the magic win when they actually do it…they are the kings of the second round collapse

Did anyone tell him
we struggled and went to 7 with the 8th seed last year WITH KG? I mean, who knows what will happen this series (after last series, pigs will fly and I won’t be surprised) but this is hardly a new and revealing development for the Cs.

pretty amateur...
to base your anaylsis of a series on how one team faired against another… and not actually break down the matchup.
if you want to say the magic are favored, or should win, fine. but to say the celtics have “no shot” is pretty dumb.

Based on Barkley's track record...
for predictions, this is great news.

What's even more amateurish is:
Neglecting to factor in: 1.the Magic’s need to have to go 6 against an anemic team like the 6ers that we were dying to play and not a “hot”, athletic team with multiple scoring threats with something to prove like the Bulls and 2. our advantages in both homecourt and matchups against the Magic
…………Charles goes too much on “gut” (no wise thoughts or remarks, please) and not enough on gray matter, or maybe there’s not enough gray matter to go with

The Bulls would have beat Orlando, imho. Miller and Noah would have played Howard even; Salmons would have done a decent job staying with Turk or Lewis, and the Bulls guards would have LIT UP Orlando. If needed, Noah would have matched up on whoever was hot between Turk or Lewis and Thomas had the length to guard either of them too. I frankly think the Bulls would have oblitered them in the matchups.
What does that to do for us against Orlando? Not much but I pick the celtics in 6 or 7 as long as we stay as healthy as we are today. I hasten to add that we best win tonight.

Pierce and Scals
One thing I’m feeling is a Paul Pierce break out in round 2. I think the Bulls defense really got to him, and I don’t see Orlando bottling him up as much. Everyone talks about how Rashard can be a game breaker, but I think Pierce will be better in this round than last.
Also, Scals has a few games under his belt, and if memory serves, he got the nod when KG first went down. Then Leon got the nod when Scal was hurt, THEN Baby. So if he can keep draining 3’s and D up on Rashard, we’ll be a better team in round 2. I think we match up better vs ORL than we did vs CHI.

Conventional Wisdom
Well, Barkley represents the conventional wisdom. Also, certain veteran players and ex-players don’t like Stan Van Gundy. By installing the Magic as favorites, SVG will be on the hot seat if they lose.

Thats fine. C’s can be the underdogs. They’re the last underdogs any team should want to face.

Guys, Barkley speaks from experience. I mean he won all those rings during his playing days. Oh wait, he didn’t.
