As for as attitude wise, I can be stubborn...it's a great trademark for me because I love to compete so much, I love to win, I'm always studying the game....a point guard and coach aren't always going to see eye-to-eye...but at the end of the day Doc and I have a great relationship and we can talk to each other on and off the court. Great players are going to be stubborn at times...you aren't always going to be a yes man or always go with the flow, to be a leader you have to stand up on your own sometimes and do what you want to do...but you gotta stay with the team.

positive spin
that’s the best spin he can put on it.

This Isn't Spin
I’ve read this before and everything I’ve heard and read say this is the relationship that Doc and Rondo have. It’s not an unusual one and I think it’s a good one. Why shouldn’t a player question his coach, especially one like Doc who is a teacher. If things were so bad would Rondo have the keys to the team. Doc wants Rondo to run the team. He critiques his performance, Rondo responds and he learns. There are times when Rondo is upset with himself and Doc needs to calm him down.

If he's such a student of the game ...
he should practice his foul shot, which is atrocious.

Good interview with Rondo
I don’t mind keeping and paying market value or so for Rondo but we need to surround him with good players. We have to be in a future position to afford to give a guy like a Posey the $$$ because that will go a long way in making us contenders in the future. We need star players, and a decent bench. To a certain extent Ray’s contract is way overboard as an example and it is okay in a sense because it got us KG & #17. I have no problems with Rondo’s attitude. We can’t win championships on the cheap and we can’t afford to overspend too much- a little bit of overspending is bound to happen but it is all about wise decisions and getting rings.

He's always studying the game, but I think he needs a shooting coach
If the coaching staff are coming up with a summer plan, it better include a shooting coach to correct his form. On a random note, does anyone know who usually pays for shooting coaches? The team or the player?

If the team pays
it would be well worth it. However he gets one I hope he does.

Is There A Better Shooting Coach Than Ray Allen
Ray has helped Rondo and Rondo has improved. He just needs better concentration, especially on his free throws. He’ll get it.

Sorry, just kidding. Sort of.
But seriously, how many more posts can it support?
Maybe all of this “should they trade Rondo because he eats spicy food and arrives late for games?” talk is the residual effect from years of having nothing to look forward to except trades and the draft. We have a Pavlovian response to the word “trade.”
Or maybe fans are so fearful of everything falling apart in 2 years that they can’t sit tight for a summer and be happy to have a team that almost made it to the ECF despite losing it’s best big man and it’s best bench player.
