Hate to say it, but Felger is right
Last night on Sports Tonight, Felger noted that only e few months ago the "Green Teamers" would have laughed at the notion of trading Rondo. Now, after some whipsering regarding Rondo's attitude, many of those same "green "Teamers" are willing to ship him out of town, for what I percieve to be inferior talent(i.e. Conley, Gay, Stuckey, etc..)
This morning on D & C, Ainge opely discussed the free-agent class of 2010, and the celtics ability to become active next summer. Clearly, Danny has his eye on this year, next year, and 5 years from now.
Even if draft night goes by without any action, and the Celtics don't make a major move this offseason, this publicity has been tremendous for the team. It's not too often that the Celtics steal the headlines from the Red Sox, especially this time of year. Bottom line is, the celtics are officially a power-house in this town, and that notion would have been hard to conceive just a few years ago.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Attitude problems
I can’t stand people who want to run Rondo out of town now. These trade rumors are just getting ridiculous now…the offer to Detroit?! c’mon…for connolly and gay…jesus how desperate are these Celtics fans who jump on board every single on of these trades.
No one wanted to run Pierce out of town when he was getting fed up with the franchise for not bringing in help.
So he’s late to games and practices…fucking fix the problem, don’t just get rid of it. Fine him until he has no money left, but don’t trade your future superstar point guard.

DUDE
You obviously do not watch enough non-Celtis regular season basketball. Rudy Gay put up identical numbers to Ray Allen last year, more rebounds (a couple less APG, slightly lower 3-pt %, and lower free-throw % but more trips to the line). He is also the best player on Memphis so he gets double-teamed constantly…..who will be able to double-team him with Pierce, Ray, and KG on the floor? He is far more productive of a player than Rondo already IMO.
On top of that we are getting a starting-quality PG in Conley who will be no slouch for us. It might be a little easier for him as a PG passing to 3 multi-year All-Stars and his former #1 target + Perkins down low. And watch Rondo fall on his face in Memphis when he has no one to pass to except for OJ Mayo and Marc Gasol.
PLEASE DANNY, pull this off!!!!!

I understand your point
Rondo is an exceptional talent, but I have tremendous confidence in Danny, and his ability to build this team.
Arguably no one liked Rondo more than DA considering he traded into the first round to get him. However, Danny must feel that he isn’t worthy of a max-type deal, therefore that $ should be invested elsewhere
Ideally, we aren’t even in this situation. But that’s on Rondo, not management

Trade
How about Rondo, Ray and Scal for Baron David, Eric Gordon and Marcus Camby?
This would allow the C’s to have a strong starting 5 of Davis, Gordon, Pierce, KG and Perk with Camby coming off the bench. Camby would be nice insurance for KG’s knee and Perk’s shoulder and would relieve the C’s from Rondo’s contract demands and would allow them to compete with this starting five for the next two to three years. They would also still be a player in the summer of 2010 in a sign and trade deal with Camby’s contract coming off the books.
The Clippers would get a stud, young PG in Rondo to pair with Blake Griffinf and Al Thornton and would allow them to be a major player in free agency in 2010 with Allen’s expiring max contract.

Felger is right again! Ouch
When talking about Leon Powe on CSNNE, Felger noted that Leon played almost 3 minutes on a torn ACL.
Praise for the C’s from Fleger is very rare, but he’s right on here.
Leon didn’t have to play in that playoff, but he did, which is more than we can say for other people
So essentially, Leon risked his carreer for the C’s, and gets shown the door in return…that’s rough
