CelticsBlog On Draft Night
Just a note on how CelticsBlog will be helping you on draft night.
First of all, we're happy to announce that we're sending our own Roy Hobbs to the festivities in NYC tonight (thanks SB Nation!). If he hears any rumors or breaking news, he'll get it to us fast. So check the front page often.
Secondly, we've got plenty of options for you to interact and discuss the events of the night. Of course there is the front page blog where you can comment on the latest info. I'll be posting periodically as things that interest me come up. And if I miss anything, please feel free to post FanShots (for links and quotes) and FanPosts (for longer article-like posts) which might just find their way to the front page (space permitting).
Next there are the message boards, which you should be familar with by now. And finally there's the CelticsBlog chat which should be hopping all night long.
Enjoy the night. Should be interesting to say the least.

Sha-na-na-nah
It might be time to say “bye” to some players, and ‘HELLO!’ to some others! Draft night is always full of surprises, and we got a good start with San Antonio/Milwaukee and Cleveland/Phoenix.

I'll do my best...
Keep in mind, guys: I’m more “fan” than I am “press”, so expect more “this is really cool” more than anything truly earth-shattering.

don't undersell it
you know you’re going to scoop Chad Ford on the deal of the night

LOL
and if you shake Bob Ryan’s hand, make sure he’s holding a full cup of coffee so he can spill it on himself (like when I did that)

Bob Ryan is like Chuck Norris I suspect
He doesn’t drink coffee – he absorbs it

I'm hoping
we see Roy with a CB sign in the crowd at MSG tonight.
God bless and good night!

Good Luck Roy!!
but I have a sneaky feeling that there will be no Celtic news tonight. Maybe that will be a good thing. The last few days sure generated a lot of opinion and converstaion but some might feel let down by the end of the night. Ainge is facing two seperate, conflicting choices to make in that even if he wants to add more (younger) talent here for the next few years there really isn’t a way to do that without potentially sacrificing a title run this coming season. Hence, I think when all is said and done, there will be no news for us tonight.

I will take the over on that one...
If we were betting, I would take the contra-bet to that. I think there has probably been too much noise for him to have something brewing. Even if it is something that none of us have heard or thought about, he has clearly been talking to a lot GMs around the league. Something is going to go down.

Good luck to Roy and Steve!
Enjoy the draft. Try and get in one of those videos with the Steven A. Smith puppet…

It All Hinges on Pick #2
If Memphis takes Rubio, there will be trades galore. If they take Thrabeet, it could be a quiet, boring night.

Those Darko-for-Richardson trade rumours make me think Memphis has decided to take Thabeet
