free agency
RWallace, Josh Childress and Marbury would be enough. Davis would be icing on the championship trophy. .

impossible to get both childress and wallace
but one of them would be really nice.

Not impossible...
…just unlikely.
Rasheed Wallace really has no reason to piggy back on a team while looking for a ring. He already has his. He might be looking for a payday, but who’s gonna pay him?
Josh Childress is nice but hard to decipher. Will an NBA team have to pay Olympiacos to get at him? Who knows.
Boston needs to get some competent youth. Childress is competent. David Lee is competent. Big Baby seems to be competent, although many a team has been tricked by above average PF playoff performances. Can’t wait for wednesday!

theres not enough money for him
sheeds gonna command full MLE, and atlanta will match anything less than full MLE (some say they’ll match anything c’s can offer). But i guess its not impossible.

I would prefer childress to be honest much younger more potential and he plays more motivated than Sheed even though i do believe if anyone can push him its KG.

Sadly for us, history seems to be repeating...
1986 = 2008……Celtic Domination!!!
1987 = 2009……Injuries prevent repeat
1988 = 2010……Further slippage

My guess-
Wallace -MLE
Grant Hill – LLE
Marbury – Vet minimum

I'm down with that

I see...
If we can get Wallace, Grant Hill might be more receptive to that offer. He played for about that much last year (since he made like 100 mil on his last contract while barely playing). He’s just trying to get his chip. Marbury just wants a job, but do the Celtics want him. I know most people here do. I don’t think we need him if we get Grant Hill though.

not a bad guess
and for all my objections, I could probably live with it

That's my guess...
…but I am not sure it is my first choice either. I had Wallace and Marbury on my “All Knucklehead Team” a few months ago (the type of team that would include the likes of Terrell Owens and anyone who will put themselves ahead of the team and destroy chemistry).
Having said that, I think Marbury was better than expected, and I suspect Wallace will be too.
Grant Hill is on the other end of that spectrum. I think Doc has a good connection with him and he would provide excellent leadership and class. I highly doubt he will want to return to the mess that will be the Phoenix Suns next year.

Hakim Warrick
I wonder what kind of contract he’ll command? He’d be a great fit with the ability to play both 3 and 4 off the bench for us. He’s another solid defender coming into the prime of his career.
