Boston Celtics guard Tony Allen has had surgery on his right ankle and leg.
The team says he's expected to recover from the surgery, performed Wednesday, in time for training camp this fall.
Allen averaged 7.8 points last season, when he missed 34 of the last 47 regular-season games with the ankle injury.

ESPN, there is a link right under the quote.
Reporter: About a year ago I asked about the Celtics-Lakers thing and you said you'd really only seen it on TV. Now you've been through it, can you talk about playing the Boston Celtics for the NBA championship?
Kobe: It Sucks.

I meant the surgery, not the quote: I don’t remember any hints that TA will need surgery in the offseason, let alone one to repair both his ankle and his leg.
