I think athletes should refrain from giving guarantees. Just let your playing do the talking. Rarely do their guarantees actually hold strong. Kobe made a guarantee to his team after winning game 5 in the finals. He said that they’d get to game 7 and win it. All I can think of is how the Patriots thrive off of ‘guarantees’ made by other teams. I mean, I guess I enjoy the confidence KG, but the success of your next few seasons with the Celtics will be based off of not solely what you do but how well the bench performs (if you’re even provided with one).
