Big Baby S&T idea

First i want to say that if Davis does not get too high of an offer, the Cs should definitely match. He will be a very solid player for years to come. But if he wants more than we can pay, a sign and trade would be ideal, so we could actually get some value in return. New Orleans has supposedly expressed interest in BBD. Here's my idea:

BOS Receives:

-Antonio Daniels

-1st round pick

NOH Receives:

-Glen Davis

It's not a whole lote, but its beeter than nothing. Daniels is a pretty good ballhandler, which we need. Some one to merely facilitate some kind of offense when the second unit is on the floor. We also get a pick, which could come in handy as the big 3 ages. I trust danny can pick a keeper in the first round. New Orleans gets depth in the frontcourt and another young talent.

Daniels is solid

I like Daniels…scores in bunches. That is what our second team lacks…an attacking slasher who is aggressive to the rim (and a pg). I would hate to see baby go…great at what he does and plays hard. Has fully bought in to having a winners attitude/work ethic. I posted earlier about stachouse getting released today….that also makes alot of sense to me if he backs off some coin and excepts the mid level or below. I like the idea of Daniels in greenthough!

without BBD we have TWO bigs! Wallace and Scal! That would be a terrible move and then we would have almost no front court depth. S&T for Moon using TA and Scals exp. contracts and sign either Stackhouse or Pavlovic, maybe both as one can play behind Pierce for short spurts. As far as the front court depth problem ,sweetney is probably better than scal or maybe swift.

1) Why would we trade a young rising big man for a old man.

2) N.O. Is hurting for cash, the draft is the only way they can stay in the game.

3) The coach’s and Danny said they were pleased with Pruitts play in summer league

4) Baby has not had one offer from anyone but the Celtics. Money is tight & Baby only played good for 60 days, not a whole season or a half a season but 60 days. The longer Baby is not signed the better it is for us. In todays economic climate no one is in a hurry to pay a under sized unproven player

5) We should package Scal & T.Allen for a legit SF

6) Sign a young athletic big man with potential that did not get drafted

IF we pay the freight on a S&T anyway, get Posey back. Knows the system, fits the chemistry, besides the basketball IQ…lock down D on Kobe and the like….
