what about stackhouse

Stackhouse has a heavy salary at 7mil...now that he was released andmost likely will be bought out. why not make a push at him...can still score in bunches and has proven he will and can come off the bench in this stage of his career. Given what is out there he would be a decent choice to back up pierce and can play the 2. Defensively he is adequate, great character guy...true professional. I realize Hill is more of a well rounded player but basically they would give you similar output but Stackhouse is a true scorer even at 34.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

stackhouse hasnt played for a whole year. he’s injury prone, and his best days are behind him. he will prob be very similar to marbury.

Robi s do you know why Stackhouse did'nt play?

First of all. It won’t be like Marbury. Marbury joined the team mid season. Stackhouse would get a summer camp under his belt. Stackhouse did’nt play because of politics with Mark Cuban. It was more than a injury. Hes not better than Grant Hill, but if we get him cheap. Take him.

You misunderstand what position Jerry plays! Jerry has played his whole NBA career at SG not SF. We would be adding more of what we alreeady have. Not a very good idea

Tyquinton-what do you mean?

“We would be adding more of what we already have.” Who do we already have? House, Allen, thats it. Marbury is gone overseas, and Pruitt still most likely wont cut it. We need a guy like stackhouse, pavlovic, or moon. Bostons backcourt in very shallow and we need another guard, preferably a pg, for the upcoming season.

Your right bleedgreen34.

Tyquinton you misunderstand. A NBA player can usually play 2 positions. A shooting guard can play a small forward. The two positions are similar. They players are the same height, and same weight usually. Paul Pierce started as a shooting guard, but was moved to small foward. Eddie House is a Point Guard, but we use him as a shooting guard. We need a good too back up Paul. Billy Walker, and Giddens, and Tony Allen are not good enough.

hahaha stackhouse isnt a sf

if you look at him, he looks like he weighs 200 lbs soaking wet…. and more like 6’4 than 6’6. bottom line bos needs a guy who can guard Lebron, Artest, and Lewis…..tasks no one in their right mind wouldgive to stackhouse.

also….. lebron can play/has played center, does that make him a center?

magic has played as center, does that make him a center?

bringing in stackhouse would not fill the backup 3 role, he would just be another scorer of the bench…. but a 34 year old that hasnt played in a year is really risky

This is tyquiinton. I did not misunderstand at all. The subject of the article was for a small forward not a shooting guard. Of cource a athletic small forward can lend his skill to shooting guard. But the first position was for Jerry to play samll forward. Tell me one team that Jerry’s primary position was at small forward. Jerry has always been one of my favorite players, beginning in college at North Carolina. Understand this… he has been known for stellar defense at any position. He could shoot the lights out or jump out os a gym but not stellar defense.

green20 let me share some info with you: Eddie House is a shooting guard not a point guard. Eddie is a horrible point guard. He cannot dribble, any defense player can steal the ball from him. What he can do is catch and shoot. He’s dangerous doing that.

Giddens will play behind Ray at shooting guard.

Walker playing small forward behind Paul is still in dought. Danny wants someone with more traditional length at small forward (6’8" 6’9") Mr Moon (6’8") in sign and trade

Danny said they were happy with Pruitt as well in summer league play.

You are right about T.Allen

Thanks! About T.Allen

Buddy check out the roster on espn.com hes marked under point guard. We use him as a shooting guard when we have a ok back up point guard. Thats why we went out to get Sam in 2008,and Stephon last year. Too help House, and use him as a two guard. Because Gabe cant handle it. He won’t be able to do it. That’s why we are looking for a cheap point guard who can bring the ball up,and not turn it over.
