free agents?
The Suns have offered Grant Hill a $6.5 mill dollar deal with a second year player option.. most likelly he will sign the deal because of Steve Nash working on a contract extention...
Why not looking at a guy like Matt Barnes.. he is capable of scoring and playing defense..he had one of his best seasons last yr averaging 10.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 2.8 apg.. those stats are nearly better than Hill's..Hill averaged fewere rebounds and assists than Barnes and only averaged 2 more points than Barnes.
Another look could be at Jamario Moon.. he may not be a terrific offensive player but his athletic and long body can help us on the defensive side and his rebound.. he averaged 1 spg, and 1.5 bpg he rebounds close to 7 rpg statistlly 6.2 rpg.
Another look could be at Linas Kleiza from Denver.. This can be a great backup for Paul and give him the deserved rest he needs come time for the playoffs.. Kleiza averaged 10 ppg and 4 rbg (9.9 ppg). He is a good scorer and capable from shooting way behind the arc and hitting consistentlly that would put us at 3 solid behind the arc shooters with Ray and Sheed(not including Paul). he can also drive it to the hole and gets to the free throw with his big body.
Other than Tyronn Lue another backup PG the C's can look at is old time veteran Anthony Carter. Carter has more threats than Lue. Carter can shoot behing the arc and is a good defender likes going after steals averaged 1.5 spg last season. Also good in the assist department averaged 6.6 apg and nearly 5 ppg(4.8 ppg). For a small guy Carter can also rebound, last season he averaged 4.7 rpg.
TRADE TALK?..leave ideas
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

umm.. Barnes has said he doesnt want to go play on the East coast. Being a california kid he doesnt want to be too far from home.

Barnes and Carter
Umm. So if Barnes doesn’t get an offer from a West Coast team but has offers from a couple of East Coast teams he will sit the season out? If he gets a higher offer from an east coast team he will pass it up? If he has an offer from the Kings, Cavs, Magic, and Celtics he will choose the Kings because he’s “closer to home” but will play on a horrible team? Umm, a chance for a ring or a chance to be “close to home”…….he’s been in the league for 6 years now and has nothing to show for it but lots of tattoos. He’s a good player and I think he would fit in well with the Celtics but if he wants to keep his plane rides under a few hours in lieu of a ring, than best of luck to him. While he is taking comfort in cutting his lawn “at home” in June while the Celtics are having a victory parade than all the more power to him.
I like the idea of Anthony Carter over Lue. He is a passing machine.

haha some guys are value their family more then a ring. I think thats pretty noble. He said it would take a significant amount of money to get him to go east.

you don't know barnes motives
He’s pretty young, he doesn’t have to go ring chasing yet. And its not like we would pay him anymore than anyone else.
I like the idea of Jamario Moon though.

Barnes Signs with the Magic in the East for a shot at a ring?
So Matt Barnes does come East and signs with a contender for a shot at a ring. Just not with us.
