Comcast SportsNet’s Gary Tanguay is reporting that KG, Danny Ainge, Doc Rivers and Managing Partner Wyc Grousbeck are on the way to Michigan to meet with Rasheed Wallace.
Paul Pierce and Ray Allen may also be on the trip, but that report is unconfirmed.

I thought Sheed was Coming to Boston?
Isn’t he coming today? I thought those were the reports.
I would say the C’s are flying on Wyc’s private jet. If not I would say United definitely not North worst.

Hopefully he doesn't come to Boston for a visit
This weather is enough to steer anyone away from Boston….this makes detroit lok like St. Barts

Signings
Sheed + Starbury + a solid backup 3 + our healthy core = #18
God bless and good night!

UGH
If the Celtics sign Sheed and kick Powe to the curb I am going to vomit. That is some bad juju.

Right...
Basketball is a business. If you ran a team would you sign a perennial all-star ambidextrous 7 footer with low post game, great defense, and 3 point range, or an undersized power forward “good guy” with 3 ACL reconstructive surgeries?
God bless and good night!

But Sheed is a nutcase
Five years ago I would have agreed with you. But SHeed is not the player he was. He is in his late 30s. Further, ACL surgury isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be.

5 years ago, he would get much more than the MLE
now, the MLE is about right. as for powe, yes, ACL surgery isn’t as big a deal as it used to be…but we’re talking about something that will cost powe at least half, if not most of the season, at best. plus, the dude has had multiple ACL tears on the same knee, which makes things even murkier with him. i love powe, but signing him given these facts is not a smart move if you’re trying to win a title.

But you could get Powe cheap
Powe’s injury history is bad. But I can’t beleive they can’t offer him a low contract. It is not like it takes 10 million to sign him. My fear is that they will blow the MLE on Sheed and then have no money for a backup swing man or point guard.

Hope the meeting goes well!
SIGN SHEED!

Tanguay, huh? Sounds reliable.
Any word on whether Gandalf or a Sasquatch were on board?
This game took a number of days off my life, but I didn't have anything scheduled.

Please, Sheed...refuse to sign for LESS than $40M over 3 years
Hopefully, that would cause the Celts to come to their senses, and lose all interest in a worthless piece of crap like you!

What useless infomation
Not by this site but, in general why do think people care who’s going to talk to sheed? I mean what not Tony Allen and who’s giving the hand full of roses and card?

KG had sleep over with Sheed so he's already there.

How can you confirm that? Jw if you have a link on what you’ve heard or anything.

If it's true it's great news.
Although I thought like everyone else than Sheed was supposed to be the one coming to Boston.
I say don’t send Paul and Ray there today but wait for them to visit Sheed in the next couple of days in case he would have changed his mind in between. :D

Epstein's Jet?
Do you mean Wyc’s jet, or are you referring to a Red Sox plane or something?
Just curious. Thanks for the info btw.

If they're going to sign Rasheed Wallace, then I hope I'm totally wrong about his present abilities.
But I’ve been wrong so many times before, what’s one more?

If TA was part of that posse ...
I’d say they were prepared for an actual abduction.

You know...
To reply to what John70 said:
I don’t think this comparison’s ever been made and if it was, oh well, but, we said the same thing about Marbury and how he was a “nutcase”. Yet between Rondo and Marbury, one PG was in trade rumors, especially prior to the draft, because of his supposed off-court issues, while the Celtics are actually considering re-signing the other, when we could’ve heard “we’re glad he’s a free agent again” about him. Do I need to say who is who?
Just saying. Also, Perkins had as much technical fouls as anyone in the league last year, and we still love him, so I can’t in good conscience let you claim that’s why you don’t want Wallace here. The Pistons made some horrible moves, including the trade and THEN having Iverson starting. Wallace should respond much better to playing for a team that is actually run well.
I want Wallace, he makes sense for us basketball-wise, and if we’re able to get Wallace, assuming he’ll be off the bench, I’m willing to get Powe go, cause I don’t think the Celtics are too much in love with him anymore.
