Rockets Land Ariza
More dominos falling into place.
The Boston Globe reports that a source close to the situation says Lakers forward Trevor Ariza has agreed in principle to sign with Houston in a five-year deal worth $33 million.
Also, Wojo is saying
After losing out on Artest and Ariza, the Cleveland Cavaliers are discussing a possible sign-and-trade deal for Toronto Raptors swingman Anthony Parker, two league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday night.
No deal is imminent, sources say, but talks were continuing.

why do the cavs want Parker so badly?
they don’t need him. Unless it’s to block the celtics
no parker...then matt barnes as a wing?

Barnes would be great
I think Parker is overated, I ’d rather go with Q Ross and pay less
sign and trade
why didn’t I think of that? get in that action Danny!

$6.6 Million a year for Ariza???
Man, that’s a lot of dough for a guy with his paltry stats.

That'd be okay
I’d definitely still want to bring back Baby and Marbury too.
And on another note about Baby
If Danny’s not bringing him back, I hope we can sign and trade him for maybe a backup 3. I’d be over the moon for a sign and trade of Baby for a signed and traded Marion.
Not surprising
I always doubted he would want to come off the bench. If the Spurs want him, it makes sense. Still, he doesn’t seem like the kind of player you expect the Spurs to want.
Desparate times
The Spurs would have a pretty serious 5 of their own in Duncan, Sheed, RJ, Manu, and Parker. That’s seriously nice right there and would be the Lakers only serious competition in the west.
but is it a lock mcdyess lands in boston?
i feel queezy thinking he automatically comes here if sheed doesn’t

Being patient, but.....
I remember last season when we waited, waited and waited, lost Posey and signed POB. All of the other contenders seem to be making moves much more quickly than Danny. Just don’t want to be stuck signing the dregs and having to depend on Robert Swift as our backup center.
Rockets got a good deal
…they get a young up-and-coming great player, while getting rid of an overrated nutcase. About time that poor team caught a break.
Cavs look desperate
The Cavs are scrambling like a team with a one year window to win a title…..oh yeah

Sign and Trade
If Detroit is so interested in Big Baby, how about a Sign and Trade: $6+ Million for 2 years and trade BBD to Detroit for a signed and traded Wallace?
windows
Jack, you are so right about the window of opportunity. Ours is due to age, Cleveland’s is due to LeBron leaving! If we don’t get Wallace I hope we can convince McDyess to come to Boston and then sign and trade BB for a legit back up center. Hill, Ross or Barnes can be had for the wing and we may or may not need a backup point as Hill can play that for the 8-10 minutes Rondo won’t be on the floor.
