Celtics/Detriot Sign-Trade

I heard or read on this site that the Celtics and Pistons were talking about signing and trading Big Baby, Giddens and Pruitt to Detroit for Jason Maxiell and a 1st round pick.

Is this true? If so, any chance it can get done. It would be a complete steal for the Celtics as Maxiell would be a much better power forward coming off the bench than Big Baby. Not to mention we'd get a 1st pick out of the deal and Sheed & Maxiell use to play together in Detroit.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

That would get you a pretty darn good pick too, because I doubt the Pistons will do anything this year.

I wouldn’t mind this trade but doesn’t max get $5 mil over the next 5 years. I’d only do it if the C’s can move TA’s contract to Indiana. Sign marbury or Arroyo to back-up Rondo and you have a pretty decent bench.

That’s a dumb trade. We trade three player that are all better than Maxiell hopeing to get one draft choice that could end up beind a dud. Where do we get replacements for them right now. Maxiell can’t out play Big Baby right now. Maxiell is not but 6’7" and a power forward.

Doc Rivers does does not play rookies. So let me understand we trade two player that can play right now for one player that Doc will not play for three years. We dont have him this year and wont get him until next year. Then Doc does not play him maybe until the next year(3years)"STOP SMOKING "
