But that tux… Ten years from now he’s not going to like seeing that in the wedding photos. Reminds me of the blue polyester suit I wore as a kid in the 1970s.

A website once did a very funny thing on the irascible Bill Cowher, former coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cowher, like Perkins, never seemed to smile in public. So the website managed to get a bunch of photos of him in social settings doing things like attending someone’s wedding, holding a puppy, and hugging his daughter at her college graduation. However, in each of the pictures, they photoshopped his typical angry, glowering game face into the shot. Somehow, the shots looked funny, and yet almost natural for Cowher.

I always loved the quotes I’ve read from Perkins that suggest to me he has a sound maturity about the need to save his money wisely. I don’t think we’ll ever have to read one of those sad stories featuring Perkins being the old retired athlete that blew all his money on foolishness.
