This gives them 4 above average big men. Rasheed's skill set allows for Pierce's search and destroy, Rondo's slashes to the lane, and the other big men's space eating behaviors.

Rasheed fits well for Boston because Rondo is the only 'long-term' piece for the franchise. Rasheed is hesitant because he knows old men like he... WILL have health and injury issues.

Boston needs Rasheed. Even if healthy, the Lakers will beat the Celtics. His joining Boston shall equalize the playing field and give the Lakers something to worry about.
