Very true the Mavs are making themselves darkhorses to really bother people in the playoffs if they can stay healthy. I still dont think they have the firepower to beat the Lakers but anything that helps the rest of the West get better helps us because if we can get alot of 7 game series it could help us out if we can make the finals.

actually the Magic are also involved in this. They are signing and trading Turkoglu according to the link and getting back a trade exception. Toronto now has their full MLE to spend. I wonder if they’ll take a look at Glen Davis (despite that putrid game he had in Toronto when he was something like 0-11). I’m trying to think of big guys on their roster and all i’m coming up with is Bosh and Bargnani.

orlandos involvement is more important

the big thing here is orlando getting the trade exception of up to 7 million, they are probably more likely to use it on BBD than the raptors. it makes them a factor in outbidding us on other FAs now too, though most of the good ones are gone now since marion is in dallas and parker signed with the cavs yesterday. i cant see the magic trying to steal grant hill from us though.
