Trade idea between BOS + CHA

If the only way CHA can aquire BBD from the Celtics and the Celtics Match the offer on a sign + trade

consider this scenario:

Boston gains back-up support at the 2/3 position with Bell to rest Allen and Pierce, still spreading the

floor and great defense on the perimeter.  With Augustine, we have secured a young solid back-up PG to Rondo,

with a great contract, defense, and perimeter offense.

To get this to work I would include Giddens, since there will not be room for all the young guys to make

the roster.

Can this work for Danny?

What are your thoughts?

Star-divide

Sign & trade BBD

BOS Incomming:

Raja Bell

DJ Augustine

CHA Incomming:

Giddens

Boston Lineup

Rajon Rondo / DJ Augustine / Gabe Pruitt

Perkins / Wallace

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Lineup Snafu

If you trade Giddens he can’t be the 3rd backup small forward. It would have to be Walker

Error

Your right, my mistake:

Depth Chart:

Rajon Rondo / D.J. Augustine / Gabe Pruitt
Ray Allen / Eddie House / Raja Bell / Bill Walker / Lester Hudson
Paul Pierce / Raja Bell / Bill Walker
Kevin Garnett / Brian Scalabrine / Rasheed Wallace / Leon Powe
Kendrick Perkins / Raheed Wallace / Brian Scalabrine / Leon Powe

leaving (2) roster spots open to fill for the LLE

I like the idea but...

I like the idea but thre is no way that Charlotte trades Augustine in a trade to acquire BBD. Augustine is the best player in that deal (as far as value goes).

The way I see it working out for both is...

CHA gets a proven young PF with upside in BBD with championship experience

plus Tony Allen to fill Raja Bell’s shoes, both of which are good perimeter

defenders.

BOS gets our back-up point guard position filled with DJ Augustine and an

expiring veteran contract in Raja Bell, the -07-08 2nd team all defensive team;

and a great perimeter scorer.

I know Augustine has to be the kicker in the deal, but to sweeten it up Giddens

is just as young and I don’t think will find time to play on this already deep roster

in Boston – so he goes to CHA.

Gerald Wallace

I’d rather go after Wallace. He makes about 9.5 mill per year, Scal’s and T. Allen’s expirings come out to about 6mill and S&T Baby with them. I’m sure the Bobcats would like to save some money…They could give us a filler to make it the numbers match.

We need that athletic long wing to give Paul a rest and also pick up the slack on D. Wallace is also a pretty good scorer to add to his hardnosed defensive play. I can’t see another player that fits the bill for our needs more than G. Wallace.

i have an idea just tell me your comments on it

Trade between SAC CHA and BOS

CHA gets
JR Giddens
Francsico Garcia

SAC gets
Brian Scalabrine
Raja Bell
Tony Allen
Alexis Anjica

BOS gets
Beno Udrih
Spencer Hawes

Charlotte gets a couple young shooting guards that have a ton of potential and I think Garcia would fit into that team very well

Sacramento gets four expiring contracts but also gets to have a solid defender in Bell and Allen. Scalabrine will help beef up the weak front line. And according to Hollinger’s analysis, they will only lose four more games because of this trade. They are not going anywhere, why not free up some cap space for the 2010 free agent heaven.

Boston gets a solid point guard and a one year flier on Hawes. Hawes could be a solid role player and will never become the superstar the Kings think he may become. I think Hawes would be a nice blend for Perk.

What you guys think?>

We're on the same page to add depth to the roster, but

If SAC gets rid of Beno Udrih, they lose their starting PG.

I don’t think they do it.

Plus, in your scenario what happens to BBD? If he stays with BOS, there is
not enough minutes for Hawes to play in the rotation.

I think the CHA + BOS deal has more upside due to Augustine, that’s if
CHA see’s the win-win it gives both teams involved.

Our 3 players for their 2.
