small trade idea

I recently read about Andre Miller's talks with Philadelphia, and it doesnt seem like they are offering him what he wants. His agent is trying to workout several sign and trade scenarios, but hasn't had any luck yet. I think this could be a good opportunity to drop some salary and maybe score a good player or two. Since we don't really have a need for Andre Miller, a third team would have to be involved. Here's my idea

-Tony Allen

PHI Receives:

-Brian Scalabrine

-Sergio Rodriguez

Seems like a great idea but...

Unfortunately, the Blazers no longer have Sergio Rodriguez. He was traded in a very minor draft day deal, so minor in fact that I can’t think of what team he was sent to at the moment.

But on the right path…

i like this trade but i also think that Earl Watson would fit in with us perfect. we dont need a scoring point off the bench Eddie is goin to take care of that, we just need a poor mans version of Rondo to fill in some minutes. and who better then Watson.

sry didn't know rodriguez got traded

..but really, they could find any replacement to just fill an expiring contract. Most of portland’s players’ contracts expire next summer.

..Actually it looks like Portland may be trading for Kirk Hinrich. that kills this idea

i never quite understood why people waste their time making hypothetical trades. Unless u actually have the power to tell BOS mgmt these are wastes of time. Im sure tehy are probably fun for you, but clearly the the fun part is lost on me.

Ainge has alot more problems than we think if he is using these fan forums for advice lol.

there is nothing wrong with mere speculation. It’s not like these trades are not possible, I based these ideas off of rumors and reports. I hope you don’t think we’re all hoping danny will see this and try it. let’s not be ridiculous. we’re simply passing the slow summer hours.
