Bowen not likely to go back to the Spurs - Cavs, Magic, Celts interested
It's believed that a return to the Spurs in free agency is highly unlikely but contenders such as Orlando, Cleveland and Boston have been mentioned as potential suitors for Bowen.

Could help all those teams.
Even if he just rides the bench and is just ready for spot minutes here and there. Good 10th man for all three teams.
How many wings is Cleveland going to get?
I see Cleveland as highly unlikely.
Funny
The same teams in on all the same players

Not sure how we sign him...
without the LLE. If we use it on Bowen it limits our ability to sign Daniels, assuming a trade cannot be worked out.
No it doesn't...
we could sign Daniels with the Bi-Annual Exception and sign Bowen with the vet minimum.
I heard that...
him and Pop weren’t seeing eye to eye last season and that is why he didn’t play to much and why the Spurs don’t want him.
report today is boston is considering bowen over daniels
which to me would be a disaster…and they might give him the biannual

According to published reports, a return to the Spurs appears “unlikely”, while the Celtics are said to be holding off on signing free agent Marquis Daniels of the Indiana Pacers until management can decide if adding Bowen to their roster is more feasible.
On the same day Milwaukee waived Bowen, Boston declined to pick up the option on reserve point guard Gabe Pruitt, creating an open roster spot if they now choose to add a defensive presence that has been lacking since swingman James Posey exited town after the Celtics seized an NBA title in 2008.
Currently, Boston has a bi-annual exception estimated at $1.9 to apply to either Bowen or Daniels. But what is the deeper immediate need? Some believe that money should go towards a back-up point guard to Rajon Rondo, particularly now since the front office is hesitant to re-sign Stephon Marbury.
Others say the addition of Bowen would only help solidify Boston’s team chemistry.
GREAT…GREAT fit. As a matter of fact he’s a 38 year old that can still play better than Daniels. Bowen was a defensive stopper with a dangerous 3 point range. This would give us the best D line up in the league.
Check out Daniels medical history. The guy is always hurt and constantly in strip clubs late at night. You can not burn the candle at both ends.
