Grizzlies make offer to Iverson

Chris Sheridan reports on ESPN.com

Allen Iverson twittered again Wednesday, saying the Grizzlies have made him an offer -- and Memphis says it's true.

Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace told ESPN.com Wednesday night that negotiations between the sides have heated up to the point where the Grizzlies have made their first formal offer.

"We're heading into the home stretch before the season, and we have had interest in Allen all summer," Wallace said. "We've been in touch on a fairly consistent basis and had dialogue with his agent, Leon Rose, since the beginning of free agency."

From IMDB:

Huggy Bear: Look here, Hutch, you gon’ have to lay up off this juice. You done had too much to drink.
Hutch: Come on! I feel like a million bucks. I’m just laughing, having a good time.
Huggy Bear: Look man, it ain’t even funny no more. There used to be a time around here when you peed on the wall, you did it outside.
Hutch: Lighten up! It’s Friday night. Okay, it’s a bar.
Huggy Bear: Hutch, it’s Wednesday afternoon man. Snap out of it.

agreed, thats a bit of racist. Just cuz he’s black, has cornrows, tats, and doesnt like to practice , does not make him a thug.

Last time i checked, iverson hasnt mugged anybody of the street or been tagging walls.

In Kobe we trust!

CHRIS WALLACE!!

He’s now clearly pushed beyond Dick-Vitale as a GM, and is establishing a whole new category of badness.

I'd kinda like to see Memphis suceed

I think if they got Iverson they would be a playoff team. They got young talent with Rudy Gay and a solid big guy in Zac Randolph. I can see them getting the 8th spot in the west. No higher then the 7th though. I don’t think they would last in the playoffs though but its only August, who knows.

wow memphis is actually going to be pretty talented…. too bad none of their talent believes in passing the ball. One thing is for certain, the grizz are going to rank last in assists.
