Does Kobe have enough in the tank?
Many have questioned what do the big 3 have to offer with the age,and how many games they have played. Here is a breakdown of the games played, and average minutes played per game and age.
Garnett 1123 games played with playoffs included. 37.6 career average, but the past two years his minutes down to around 32 minutes.Age 33,and will turn 34 around the East Finals.
Ray Allen 1019 games played with playoffs included.37.6 career average minutes per game. Ray is 34 for the entire 2009-10 season.
Paul Pierce 890 games played with playoffs included.37.5 career average minutes per game.Paul will be 32 for the entire NBA 2009-10 season.
Kobe Bryant has played 1123 with playoffs included.36.4 career average minutes per game.Kobe his first two years only averaged 21.06 per game. After that he averages 39.3 minutes played per game.Kobe has missed 100 games in his career. He has had a few injuries during his career. He has also played for the USA team two summers in a row.He had this summer off. Because Kobe is compared to Jordan all the time, and please stop! I will do it just to show Jordan has the edge and always will.
Jordan played a total of 700 games including playoffs at age 30. Around 39 minutes at the age of 30.Jordan was 30 in the 92-93 season the year before he retired.
I have always felt the Big 3 was not to old going into the 2009-10 season. Yes there days are coming to a end. History has shown they can win at there age. Reggie Miller was 34 in 99-00,and he scored 18.4 a game, and helped the Pacers to the finals.Ray and Miller play a similar game, and Reggie averaged 18.4 a game until 2003. Paul I have no concern about.Garnett we have to see how he comes out. The injury was not close to being career ending. The Celtics took extra care of the injury. The Celtics are making sure they have two backups, and maybe a third option to back up Ray and Paul. Garnett has Wallace, and that's great. We have House who can shoot lights out. Daniels to back up Ray or Paul. IF we get Bowen thats the third back up,but we still have Walker. He might make a jump this coming season, and Tony Allen don't know if he is staying or going.(Please go)
Kobe does not have a back up to spare his minutes. Yes they signed Odom, but he's not a two guard. They have Sasha, and maybe they put Farmar,or Brown at two guard? That wouln't work. I think this is a problem they have not addressed, and I think something that could hurt them. I personally think the age and games played doesn't hurt a player if there a future HALL OF FAMER. Like Bryant. If your going by games played. He's played 5 less games then Garnett, and don't forget the past two summers on the USA team for Kobe. He has also played over 100 games more than Ray Allen at 34 years old. Will see what Kobe has.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

lol… propaganda.
Kobe will be fine. Its not like he is mcgrady. Last year he showed he could pretty much do whatever he wanted to on offense. He isnt old, just experienced. Sure games will wear on you, but the number of games played is a really stupid stat. The body doesnt start aging based on games play. It ages based on years alive lol. If we went by games played, Duncan should be able to play til he’s 40 since he didnt play basketball until highschool, but as we saw, Duncan is already slowing down considerably.
Out of those 4, the person i would most worry about is KG, since older people don’t recover from injuries quite as effectively as younger people. And leg problems for big men can spell disaster. See Chris Webber.

Yep I thought
about C-WEBB,but I don’t think it’s that bad that way. I think Kobe will be fine to,but a lot of haters out there always bring up the games played. I don’t buy that.Wanted to show Kobe is way up there. Duncan is okay. He was the healthy Spur last year. It took a lot out of him. The early exit in the playoffs should have helped, and motivated him.

lets not forget duncan had to sit out games that were back to back. I’ve said it a bunch before, those spurs are not going to be healthy for the whole season. The way ginobli and parker drive to the lane hard, they are bound to get injured. Parker getting injured just recently is no fluke. The guy has a big heart, but a little body. Driving into 7 footers is not wise for ones health. theres a reason iverson has bandages and wraps around hisentire body lol

Kobe
Even as an avid Laker hater, you have to admit he’s the best player on the planet (sorry Paul). However, he’s approaching the 30 mark in age and injuries, which were rarely part of his career, much like Pierce, have to be now watched closely. With that many games on those legs (we heared that about Garnett, remember?) and still playing in Olympic games and world games, eventually it will take it’s toll. I won’t wish anything traggic for Kobe, but it’s only a matter of time before he sustains some form of injury. Lots minutes and lots of miles aren’t easy when you hit 30.

he was thirty one already last year hes like a month younger than paul, i dont think that he’ll get hurt but if he did it would deffinetly make this championship if we wernt to play them not quite as sweet

the laker/celtic rivalry
I think it’s fair to say that Kobe has more games under him, and it’s fair to say that the big 3 from boston are getting up there in age. But does it really matter anymore? Those organizations have so much money put into their training staffs and doctors. They cure just about anything. Look at Jameer Nelson. Came back in the finals after being told “no more.”
I think if both the Lakers and the celtics reach the finals, it’s going to be great basketball. A great defense vs a great offense. I hope KG stays healthy and I hope Bynum can return to the form he was in before he got his second knee injury, cuz the kid was putting up some crazy numbers.
The Laker/Celtic rivalry will always be the best to me, and I will pray to the basketball Gods it turns out to be a rematch from 2008. With all those old foggies in there.

LOL
Does that come with a money back guarantee? Or does it get donated to poor villagers like the hats and t-shirts?
