Erden Helps Turkey Defeat Gasol And Spain
"The Boston Celtics 2008 second round draft pick Semih Erden has yet to play in an NBA game, but he has already defeated one of the Los Angeles Lakers. On Saturday he helped Turkey defeat Pau Gasol and the Spanish team in the EuroBasket 2009 Group F qualifying round."

It’s good he could hold his own against NBA competition. How old is this kid. He’s a mobil 7 footer that could play for us someday. Cool.

He actually played very well in the last quarter against Spain! The best performance I have seen from him!

from
From what I have seen from him, he is HUGE. Very tall. Soft stroke. Not really afraid to bang. Quickness is a huge question mark I have about him.

Where's the "Ben Pepper"comment guy?
I forget who, but there’s a regular on this blog, who practically everytime anyone mentions anything positive about Semih Erden, that guy surfaces to say that Erden will be ready to contribute to the Celtics about the same time as the legendary Ben Pepper. It’s like clockwork. (And to be honest, I’ve always gotten a laugh out of it.)

I like him already.
How long until he can come over?

Stats?
He looked very engaged in the video highlights; but could not find stats. The link below says Erden and Asik were key combining for 24 pts and 10 rebound. The video highlights also show two blocks by Erden.
