KG May Learn From TB
When Kevin Garnett first joined the Celtics, one of the places he first visited was Gillette Stadium. He knew . The similarities between Kevin Garnett and Tom Brady have proven to be endless. Both have extremely high IQ's for their respective sports. Both are obviously the key to their team's success. Until recently, neither has suffered a serious injury. Even though their injuries are not the same, their mental approach should be.
Hopefully KG has been watching Mr. Bady these first couple of games. He could certainly learning from seeing what Brady's is going through. Even at full strength, there is a little rust and his timing isnt there. Patriot fans are a little surprised to see Brady struggle. Celtics fans won't be should expect the same from KG.
Chances are good that when Kevin starts playing again, it will be no different. Brady is feeling his way back. He is not trying to rush things, he's taking things step by step. I am not concerned that Kevin Garnett will be healthy at the start of the '09-2010 season. I am terrified of Celtic's forward blasting out of the gates, like a starving pitbull that is finally being unleashed, only to reaggravate his knee.
KG's emotions should not get the better of him. Game one will be a statement game. All eyes will be on him as the Green battle the Cavs. Garnett, much like Brady has been, will be tested. I fully expect that Garnett to turn the ball over atleast once or twice, and Rasheed to get his first ejection. Celtics' nation should be patient.
Bottom line is this folks, Kevin Garnett will need to approach his season much like Tom Brady has his, with caution. It will be worth it in the end. Both will end their seasons as champions.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

How'd Wallace get in there : \
Anyways, I agree. KG has the pre-season too to regain himself. Besides, KG didn’t miss a whole season like Brady did. So, there really is no need for KG to rush back into full-speed until the regular season. I’m sure the Celtics know this.

He didnt miss a whole season, but he missed more then 16 games…
I expect KG to struggle as much or even more then Brady has coming back from his knee injury, Im very pessimistic about the KG situation..I think hes done

Um, its very close, I think the OP realizes its two different sports
How can you not make the comparisons?
-Knee
-first serious injury for both
- both missed the rest of there seasons
-both the leaders of there ballclubs
-both expected to step right back in and unrealisticly lead there team to a championship
- both will be going through nearly the exact same mental and phsycial rust of fighting through a knee injury and getting there timing back

Really?
Mr. Stevenfuzz, I do not have problem with you disagreeing with my opinion. That is your right. However, DO NOT put quotes around words that I did not use and then criticize me for using them.
Turns out you should have held back after all – the only person that you ended up making look stupid is yourself!

I like when people pick apart nothings (spelling, grammar, paraphrasing quotes) to imply stupidity.
From Wiki, this is a correct usage of quotes:
[Quotes can be used to] distance the writer from the terminology in question so as not to be associated with it. For example, to indicate that a quoted word is not official terminology, or that a quoted phrase presupposes things that the author does not necessarily agree with.
or…
Also quotes can be used to show irony, alla the air quotes.
I guess grammar is stupid too.

Don't insult my intelligence
You tried to create your own angle by putting your words into my mouth.
By Brady “taking it easy”, do you mean throwing the ball 50 times a game…."
“Taking it easy” are your words that you are asking me about.
“he’s taking things step by step” These are my words.
I called you out for miss quoting me…
You even asked me directly after the quote what I meant by those words.. IE: The words ‘By Bradi’ (a brilliant move, by the way.)
Anyway, just learn from your mistake and move on.

lol im suprised noone can put the comparison together
I agree with the comparison
“completely different” different yes, completely, no …both knees, both missed the rest of the season, both are the leaders of there ballclubs and are expected to step right in after nearly a year off and be in there 2007 forms and both have to fight through the phsycial and mental aspects of returning from there first serious injuries of there career
very similar…sorry

I get what your saying
Both suffered season ending knee injuries which cost their team their big hopes of another championship. And both need to take caution with their knees as their seasons start, and Boston fans to be patient as KG and TB find their ground.
there’s your point. no need for everyone to bash it.
