KG Out 10 to 14 Days
Quoting Doc from ESPN Boston:
"I'm pretty sure [Garnett will return] in the next 10 days," Rivers said. "He started working out today for the first time, now it's just a conditioning thing. We want to make sure he gets strong, gets back in shape. He literally hasn't done anything. We figure about 10 days to two weeks, but I figure it's more like 10 days with him. Trying to hold him down for those extra four would be extra difficult."
Below is the schedule for January. If Kevin Garnett is only 10 days away, that puts him back in time for the Portland Trailblazer game on the 22nd. If he's out the full two weeks, it looks like KG would come back versus Orlando on the 28th. Assuming the latest estimate is correct (the prior estimate had KG back this coming Wednesday vs the Nets, so take a giant grain of salt here), it looks like KG would be back, but probably still rusty, when the Celtics face off against the Unbeatable Hawks and the Lakers.
For this Lakers game, Paul Pierce's Truth Foundation is holding a raffle for a luxury suite. Details of how to participate are below the jump.

in the meantime
while KG and sheed are out, give the starting spot to BBD or sheldon and start using walker and giddens. I dont see how anyone can expect them to breakout when they dont even get a chance too
and I know there is alot of Giddens hate on this site but yall need to stop, Gidd has barely gotten opportunities to play, and has done what hes been asked by the team, which is play defense, its gonna be hard for good offensive player like himself to flourish in a team system like the celtics
Nobody expects them to break out, because they have NO GAME!
man, I can’t wait for this season to be over so we can stop talking about these two knuckleheads.

so why did danny draft em
if they have NO GAME?
do you know enough about Giddens and Walker to say they have no game or are you saying it just to say it?
am I the only one worried about the teams future? or are just gonna keep getting older and older and end up like the Spurs
our big 3 are already 32+, and KG is already showing injuries, so Pierce and Ray are not far off from an injury, not to mention how much we overplay the starters
I know they have no game because they have not shown the slightest indication that they do
so what if Danny drafted them. No GM has ever had a bad draft pick? and these guys were bottom of the bucket picks, chosen because we have to pick someone and they were the best of the worst. just because they were drafted doesn’t mean they can play.
and this year is not about getting younger and preparing for the future. this year is about winning a championship. period. maybe next year we can start rebuilding and get those younger less experienced players people have been asking for. but not this year.

Orlando, Atlanta, and LA all in a row
That will be a very interesting week.

Time for Danny to trade for a "serviceable" big...
KG`s knee makes it impossible to rely on him.
what else can go wrong ?
now sheed is out players have to step up and when is this nocioni deal going to happen when we lose home court to the hawks or cavs wake up danny lets make the deal ..
What's the Problem?
I want him back at 100%. Why take chances? A healthy KG is more important than HC advantage in the EC finals. Sit Sheed too, and stop overplaying Pierce, Shuttlesworth and Rondo.
Let the bench play. The extra experience for the 2nd unit may pay dividends in the playoffs. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
i concur
that would be ideal. it would also be ideal that this, KG out for 10 more days, is the truth and not pulling the wool over our eyes like last season. I am getting really tired of losing games that we should not

sadly, that’s become my expectations too at this point.
Can’t believe anything the organization says about player health, especially when it comes to KG.
Give it another couple of extensions and watch the buyers remorse start popping up more frequently when it comes to KG.

walkers a bum
Give me one instance where he has looked like one, everytime he has gotten an extended period of time by that I mean more than 30 seconds he has made a highlight film out of someone so let me know where you are coming from with that I’m not pressed to see them play anymore I understand doc isn’t so at this point I’ve said F it ,it is what it is he just doesn’t play young guys unless he is absolutely forced to and for all intents and purposes he doesn’t want to coach young guys shit he wanted to trade rondo do you actually think danny came up with that stupid ass idea by himself.I will co sign for walker without a doubt last time I saw him in a game he made 4 phoenix suns look like fools ,check youtube buddy but what do I know just play our atrting five into the ground it aint like they are up ther in age or have problems with injuries or have logged so many nba minutes that they are ancient in nba terms .ok buddy yea you right

Doesn't look good
KG has been out for more than 10 days, and now it will be anoher 10 days. The situation is looking more and more similar to last year’s. Danny brought in Sheed to back up KG, and now he’s down too.
Given the health of the team, the way they are playing and the schedule, January could be the first losing month since the Big 3 arrived.
We get another shot at the Hawks on the 29th, but it doesn’t look good. Something is wrong with the NBA scheduler, How can two teams play each three times in a month?
sorry to be a downer. but this sounds oddly like last year...
in the sense that org gives out good prognosis ahead of time.
