The perplexing "Trade Them All" movement

Some posters have called for big trades... basically, everybody except Rondo and Perk, with some adding various combinations of Paul, KG and Ray to the "exceptions" list. This really puzzles me.

What does it mean to be a "Celtics fan", anyway? Doesn't it mean that you love and support THIS TEAM? If you wanna trade just about everybody... what are you saying? That you love and support the NAME "Celtics"? Or what? These guys that are playing... they ARE the team. If you're a Cs fan... then you're a fan OF THESE GUYS. Aren't you?

I can see calling for peripheral, or additional, trades. No problem there... it's necessary. But when you start saying that EVERYBODY should go... rebuild from scratch... what the hell?... then I guess you're just a fan of the name "Celtics"? Or any team that happens to live in Boston? I suppose if you could take the entire Lakers team and move them to Boston, while moving the entire Boston team to LA... suddenly you'd be a fan of Kobe and Pau Gasol??

I guess I'm not as avid a Boston fan as some others. I support THIS team... If you change the major players... well, then that would be another team, wouldn't it. And I'd have to take another look at whether I still want to follow and support that team.
