Memphis Claims Hudson Off Waivers
Memphis has been awarded Lester Hudson off waivers, a league source tells Y! Sports. The Celtics let the rookie point guard go this week.
Memphis had scouted Hudson a great deal at nearby Tennessee-Martin, before Boston had picked him with the 58th pick of June Draft.
Hudson's a Memphis native and will sit in stands with GM Chris Wallace tonight. "He's very happy," his agent, Lance Young, wrote in email.

ugh
I wouldve liked to see Les hang around here, but I guess it’s the nature of the beast.
…oh and this is when he becomes the next D Wade and the face of Memphis’s franchise.
As much as I respect Ainge...
I really hope Huds absolutely tears it up in Memphis and Ainge feels the burn.
I wish him all the best.
Agreed
The Celtics really have no concept of devolping players, unless that player happens to be the cornerstone of your organization (paul pierce). Otherwise, they just sort of let them go… GO LESTER!!
The Celtics have no concept of developing players unless they’re really worth developing.

It may be a problem through the league, but there's got to be a better way to get young guys
developmental playing time when they’re at the end of an NBA roster.
Whether it’s a mini practice team that travels with them, more scrimmages with the non-starters, or what, guys like Lester being asked to jump four levels of complexity and competition in play need the playing time to make the new plays and decision processes automatic. I could even see competing teams combining the ends of their benches with their mini practice teams out-of-the-limelight scrimmages when they travel.
The biggest gain would be for the best teams, who can’t justify playing their young guys. As we see over and over again, draftees on bad teams get to play and they develop must faster.
Memphis has three pg's...
…Conley, Willams and Tinsley, minutes may be hard to come by.
?
i still dont understand the love affair that everyone has with hudson.. can some one explain it.. he bairly played. he is older than perk and rondo, he was the 58th pick in the draft.
