J.R. Giddens in Euroleague

Hi,

I just thought you might find it interesting that JR impressed in his Euroleague debut, scoring 20 pts (9/9FG :P) and grabbing 10 rebs.

Star-divide

He now plays for polish champions - Prokom Sopot. they beat Chimki Moscow in Giddens' first game.

He shocked people here with his explosiveness in offense and creating good atmosphere on and off the court. Coach says he needs to work on his D (which kind of suprised me, as I thought that anyone who spends two years with Celtics becomes a shut down defender on lower level. guess I was wrong).

Just letting you know..

Go Green!!! :D

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

It doesn't surprise me that he did well...

He has a ton of talent, the NBA game just seemed “too fast” for him. In a slightly lesser environment, he should do quite well.

He was a very good defender coming out of college, so I’m surprised to hear that he struggled there.

i got it wrong

it was chimki who beat prokom that night.

and when it comes to JR’s D, coach said he tried hard and wants to adjust, just made some mistakes. i wish him all the best, finally i’ll be able to watch some Celtic life this year in Poland. he’s not Rajon or KG but that will do for now :)

Thanks for the update

I’m a New Mexico Lobo fan and glad to see he’s making a career for himself.
