Glen Davis has taken 16 charges in 10 games this season
"I do believe we need to start adding the charge to the stat sheet, because it's like he's getting like two or three charges a game," Ray Allen said of Davis. "He's always in great position, so you know he's always going to have your back."

This is funny when you
juxtapose it with the Boozer trade thread.
Thanks for the total I will keep track of it as the season progresses and Glenn continues his on his Hank Aron/Brett Favre type record.

What a draft steal
One of Danny’s best. Better than Leon. He has gotten better each year. I don’t remember which bloggers were in a hurry to dump him – too small to get his shot back up, liability on D, immature – but he has proven to be a key NBA player and eventual starter
True
Danny is a great evaluator of talent. He also understands their shortcomings. Baby came here very immature. If he was on another team he would not be the player he is. I think, at first, he was thinking mostly about contracts. I think he’s learned that if he helps his team win the money will follow. I think he has finally realized he is in the best situation for himself. He’s surrounded by Doc, Danny and veteran teammates who, I think, have finally gotten thru to him. He’s really become indispensable to this team.

its not that he will not get
a contract from the C but most likely he will have better offers. For a player at his age who has not made a ton of $, it is rightfully he will move to anther lesser team for better pay.

I'll wait until that time comes
before I believe the C’s will let him go. He’s not even at his apex as a player.

Charge is Baby's blocked shot
You need your bigs to protect the rim and that is what baby is doing. It’s actually better than a block b/c you always get the ball back and get a foul on opposing player.

i was just going to say something of this nature.
since he has the height disadvantage he is protecting the rim in a different way. I agree about charges being better for the same reason as well…

I posted this earlier, but he has a children's book out too.
Good job, Baby.
Footwork
Davis has dramatically improved his footwork this year and it isn’t just on defense.
Probably far more impressive is his improved footwork in setting picks and NOT getting called for moving screens.
Where this (setting solid picks) shows up is in Glen’s personal Turnover stats. So far this year he is causing a just 1.0 TOV per 36 minutes – compared to a career avg of 1.9! That’s basically cut in half! His TOV% is similarly reduced from a career avg o 13.7% to just 8.7% so far this year.
A large portion of that TOV reduction is from NOT getting moving pick calls, which are real possession killers.
Improved footwork on both ends of the court are a great sign of hard work and dedication that speaks very well of Davis’ efforts to improve his game.
Forcing turnovers while committing less.
Sounds like a good bargain for me.
