Berger Looks At Delonte's Struggles With Bipolar Disorder
[Talking postgame about the shot he missed at the end of the Raptors game:]
"When I was younger and I didn't have the proper care and medicine, I would've been in here all day," West said. "The guys would've had to come get me and say, 'It's only one game, man. We've got another game.' But to me, it would've been like I just lost a Game 7."
Extreme highs, extreme lows -- and now, a step in the right direction. Toward the middle.

Love the kid....
That’s all I can say….besides those blocks last night were something to behold.
Is it Soup Yet?
I can empathize
We all see extreme cases of this on TV, but the disorder is actually like a disease that gets worse if not treated.
I hope this raises awareness of how subtle the symptoms can be.
People laugh at you for not being able to cope. They tell you to get a life because you can’t get over something that is so minor. They think you choose to be depressed.
Delonte is lucky because a team doctor might have noticed the symptoms and took it seriously.
I never realized how miserable my life was until I started taking the medication and I fwas able realize the misery I put my family through.
And yeah, no more staying up until 4AM after every Celtics loss.
that's right man, take things easy
take life one day at a time and enjoy the good things you have
Great to see him taking his treatment seriously
It is a serious illness like any other which ruins lives when it goes untreated, I’ve seen it firsthand. There’s no reason why he can’t succeed with the mindset he has though. I think he’s in a much better situation than Cleveland in every facet of his life and he could turn out to be a steal for the Celtics if he can keep his disease under control.
