Could Celtics Easily Win More Games, Including Playoffs?

Came across this excellent piece in SI.com about how the Thunder are leading the league in FT%, on course to break the all-time NBA record (held by the '89-'90 Celtics).

Described in there is a little side game that Coach Brooks devised to improve the team's free throw percentages -- and it's worked spectacularly. (See link, 2nd paragraph.)

Celtics need this badly.

When the Cs do lose, it's typically by just a few points. No blowouts yet this year (unlike, say, the Lakers, who really do appear to have lost their fire, probably because Kobe has started his decline -- pardon the aside :). The Cs' FT% so far this season is a very average 75.5%, #18 in the league. There's really NO EXCUSE for this kind of number. The shot is FREE. Make the damn thing. Rondo (the worst FT shooter on the team), Perk, Jermaine, Semih, Avery and yeah, Shaq... should ALL play Brooks' game if they have to, and JUST GET BETTER. It would not only help them win games now, it might just make the difference between winning and losing a playoff game or two. Which could make the difference between #18 and nada.

So why not? Are the Celtics too cool to play a kid's game? Gee..... isn't that what they do for a living?

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
