Jermaine O'Neal may begin working out next week (Note: Post updated)

For those interested in a update regarding the status of Jermaine O'neal's health...

WEEI reported this week (link below) that Doc Rivers spoke with Jermaine recently and that he reports that Jermaine may begin working out with the C's next Wednesday.

Hope this is the case and his knee condition has improved.

Getting Jermaine's offense and especially defense and rebounding  back should help bolster the C's  bench since they are thin in the back up big man department with Doc only utilizing Baby and Erden.

Since we have not really seen none of the big 3 off season bench signings of (Shaq, Jermaine and Delonte) come off the bench yet this year due to team injuries, it would be nice to get Jermaine back and healthy at the very least.

Then if Perk and Delonte can get healthy the C's can then add Shaq and Delonte eventually to the bench later in the season.

Then we can finally see the firepower of the  big 3 of Shaq, Jermaine and Delonte come off the bench which was suppose to be the game plan this year, but have not seen to date yet.

Update of Jermaine's status:

The Boston Globe on 12/5 is reporting that Jermaine is now eying a return to practice in 2 weeks not 1 week as Doc said last week (link to story is below)

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
