Pierce deserves better than to win this by default, but that's kind of what happened this week. Nobody else really stepped up their game enough to warrant the award and the result was 3 straight losses to contending teams. Still, Pierce was solid vs. the Clippers and was the only one keeping us in the game against the Hawks, so he gets the nod.
Speaking of nods, I'll have to give a tip of the hat to Rondo who had a good game yesterday and keeps piling up the assists. Also, I appreciate the effort of Good Tony yesterday. I also appreciate his attitude. Consider this quote:
"Ain’t no moral victories. We have to get it done," he said. "This ain’t no Tony Allen got his thing going - it’s about the Celtics and the Lakers."
I respect that. Well said.
