Paul Pierce's Odd Sense Of Humor
Remember when Paul Pierce showed up for a post-playoff game press conference with his head bandaged up (apparently a silent objection to the flagrant foul called on him)? The timing was bad and he ended up looking silly at best and amateurish at worst.
Now he's still clowning around, which is who he is, and I respect that. Though once again, the timing doesn't quite seem right.
No need to worry, it’s just how Paul Pierce rolls - BostonHerald.com
Yesterday morning was busy at the end of Concourse C in New Orleans International Airport. Passengers were waiting for a flight from Dallas, not much room to move, and there was Paul Pierce [stats], maneuvering through a gauntlet of luggage while in a wheelchair. Say what? "Ah, it’s nothing, I’m just kiddin’," said Pierce, who plans to participate in All-Star Weekend despite a strained left foot.
Oooooo-kay. Whatever. I'm not about to make a big deal out of this. I'm glad he's trying to break the tension in his own way - even if I don't "get" his humor.
Have a good time in Dallas Paul. Win that 3 point contest. Yuck it up with your crew. Do whatever you have to do to get the stench of these last several weeks off of you. When you get back to work in Sacramento for the start of a 4 game road trip (that includes a trip to LA LA land), you can shut everyone up by getting back to the winning ways we've come to associate with you.

Agreed. I was crackin' up when I first heard about it!
I think we need Paul and Sheed to come out of the lockerroom at half-time dressed up in their silly “”http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/C-a-C-The-Clever-Celtic-and-the-Boisterous-Dan?urn=nba,216009" >Clever Boy" suits. Maybe that will shake the team out of those third-period doldrums!
Hilarious, he’s not half as upset as we are. And that’s probably because he knows that they can be better.
Good!
If he’s kidding around, things within the organization probably aren’t as dire as fans are thinking.
And I always thought the bandaged head thing was very funny. It was inappropriate and he deserved to be fined. But also funny.
Rather humerous to me.
I guess you would feel better if he was sullen at the all star game because of his teams struggles? Maybe because these guys have had some success in their lives they don’t walk around PO at the world. Some of the fans should take a cue myself included with regards to this team and Paul.

knew this was coming
perhaps you didn’t read the part where I said "I’m glad he’s trying to break the tension in his own way – even if I don’t “get” his humor."

I was responding to you not getting his humor.

I'm with birbrain here
It’s not that I missed your caveat, it’s that the entire tone of your article, including the title, makes the caveat seem insincere at best.
I like it! lol
In fact, I had always thought that if I were in the NBA and everyone was calling me old, I’d show up in a walker and with dye’d grey hair (for just night)… then hop out of the walker and warmups and beat everyone on the court!
I’m glad he’s more loose than the fans lol.
This man is on a mission!
No, seriously, I bet he knows the true nature of KG’s woes and has decided to enjoy the ride.
I don't get it...
Am I missing the problem here? Agree with Jaycelt that the whole tone seemed off and overly critical. Awkward enough post that I felt the need to comment for the first time in a while. I hope Pierce knocks ’em dead in the 3pt shooting contest!
Too bad they didn’t get Rondo in the skills competition.
Seems like a non-story to me...
Not sure I understand the tone of this post?? Honestly, I feel like there isn’t even a story here.
