Worried? Nope.
Yep we've been losing some games and in some against very beatable opponents. And with the trade deadline looming teams including the C's are pushing buttons to either boost their teams or get some space off their salary caps. Boston of course is looking to improve but the quote from one GM after talking to Danny Ainge that Boston is "getting desperate" is disconcerting and desperation as a result, can lead to a hasty and eventually bad decision.
Is it really time to get worried? I don't think so. We started the season really well and TA and Big Baby were out then. Then the injuries started, most notably on KG, and we started running on brick walls. Right now the the injured guys have started to come back although KG still looks uncomfortable and doesn't seem to have found his groove yet. And there, I believe, lies the problem: as KG tries to regain his defensive swagger back (and is he fully healed?) the team defense is lost with him.
I also don't believe that we have a shortage on our offensive arsenal so I don't believe that trading RA would help. The team should just pick-up on their defense. Shelden should be used again (he did gave some solid contributions in the absence of Davis), Perk also had a nice run offensively when KG was out and he should start doing that again. I'm more willing to get rid of Davis than RA. Still even without moving anyone I think the team could still contend if they start to pick-up their defense again with or without KG facilitating things for them.
Am I overly confident or am I blind? You tell me.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
