trade idea with nets

how do you like a trade of scal & jr for k.dooling & c.lee?

nets would save about $5mil in next years salaries letting them be the players in a race for 2 max free agents.

celts would get 2 nice guards, good shooters, one of whom that might become rayray's replacement (i like courtney a lot - good shooter & defender, high bbiq).

Star-divide

if it's not enough for njn to do it, bos might add some draft picks or might take other non-expirings of yi (for eddie or tony) and t.williams (for shelden & walker).

the nets save up to $10, if traded all four, which leaves them with only 2 two players signed for next year, one of them being an all-star caliber pg (who could be traded for a third great player if they landed john wall in draft) and one of the best young centers in b.lopez. let's say they sign d'wade/j.johnson and bosh/stat duo at max deals and trade for d.granger or r.gay - wouldn't it be a killer s5? :)

the celts give up one rotation player (eddie or t.allen) but like i said get 2 nice guards while the other 2 guys are serviceable, as well. if they turn out to be bums, they're all expiring contracts next year.

and if there is a chance to sign d.gooden once he'll be bought out, i'd love us to get d.augustin for bigbaby, so that he stimulated rondo to keep on progressing :]

hell, i'd even like a scal-dooling trade straight up, too. and i think it's the most possible one as the nets don't give up any of their young talent. still i'd love boston to get lee and we all know that danny'd love to get yi (personally, i wouldn't love it that much).

thanks for all your thoughts :]

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

re:trade idea with nets

that makes no sense at all. they already are on pace for 2 max players and already tried the scal experiment..

well, from what i’ve seen they have around $21M commited to players next year. cap space is supposed to drop to around $55M. that leavs them with $34M but about $5M will go for the draft picks. $30M is not enough for 2 max FA’s, is it? scal and all others are just 3 month rentals, they won’t win anything this year (maybe a draft lottery).

however, C’s seem to be getting Nate (which I don’t like at all…)
