Celtics and Wizards trade?

You Might have heard rumors about the celtics trying to get Antawn Jamison, and so i was messing around with the ESPN trade machine and came up with this trade. *It works for both teams salary caps.

Celtics trade: Ray Allen and Shelden Williams (Maybe a 2nd round draft pick)

Wizards trade: Antawn Jamison and Mike James

The celtics will get a much needed backup pg in mike james, who should provide rajon rondo with some much needed rest. They will also get jamison, who is a proven scorer and a much needed big man, who i believe can also play the 3 spot.  Heres the lineup.

PG: rajon rondo, Mike james

SG: Tony Allen, Eddie House, JR giddens

SF: paul pierce, marquis daniels, bill walker

PF: kevin garnett, Antawn jamison, glen davis, Brian scalabrine

C: Kendrick Perkins, Rasheed Wallace

That looks like a pretty good lineup to me, although i could do with dealing big baby or scalabrine away. =] Tell me what you think?

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I like the trade but not your lineup

It would be a nice trade but I don’t think T Allen can be the starting SG. We already have Rondo at the point who can’t shoot from the perimeter and now you add a two guard in T Allen who can’t shoot…not going to work. House is a good backup two guard but I don’t think he can start. With this trade, if Wash went for it, you would have to move Pierce to the SG and have a front line of Jamison, KG and Perkins with Wallace coming off the bench. Of course, during the game you can go small by moving Pierce to the SF position when you bring in house at SG.

Lack of Shooter

I pretty much agree with Robert LZ..
I think the C’s need a Perimeter shooter at 2guard who can hit some Big Game shots too. Someone like Kevin martin or Jason Terry and I’m not saying that a Trade is possible with one of them, they’re just examples…

As far as Antawn Jamison… Is a 3rd PF with range from at least mid range really necessary? In my opinion NO. In this case of trading for Jamison, the C’ should get rid of Wallace, cause he is the biggest disappointment of this season..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A few months ago, people shuttered at the thought of TA dribbling the ball, now Celticsblog-land thinks he is a starter. Wow. Just wow. It’s like everyday people are getting more and more rabid-insane here.
