What can he do for us? He is a solid three-point shooter, with average athleticism. I don't know anything about his defense or passing, whether he likes to drive, or if he chucks up shots. He is a high-character person though. If he can defend, it would seem like he is enough for the floor-spacing SF we are looking for. But if he couldn't get playing time at the Knicks, it could mean he is worse than Giddens or Walker.Anyone else know what Landry can contribute?
(This is my first fanpost - go easy on me!)
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I don't know what he can do...
…but his brother is a gamer and Marcus seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He may be the type of person who can flourish in our system.
The Celtics may have just taken him to make the Nate trade viable. They may also think he has some potential.
Either way we got nothing to lose with him on the roster right now, We’ll see where it goes.
I tend to think he’ll never be a significant player with the Celtics.
Good write-up on Landry
I think he is little known to all Celtics fans, and I think him and Shelden Williams will primarily be competing for garbage minutes…but if he impresses in practice, and makes the most of his minutes on the court, then maybe he can step up his role on the team and prevent them from having to go out and sign a free agent.
'doubt they'll be competing
since they play totally different positions.
Shelden is buried behind KG, Perk, Sheed, BBD & Scal for time at C or PF.
Landry is buried behind Pierce, Ray, Quis & TA for time at SG or SF.
More likely, garbage time is when you finally have a chance to see both of them.
As a former Badger, he will win us a championship.
Hey, who wants to guess what school I go to?!

Oh, and just to add a useless scouting report from his time at UW (Because, seriously, he's not getting minutes)
He had a very solid post game while in Wisconsin, relying on a good turnaround jumper after backing his man into the paint. He’s not too big for his role in the NBA, though, and will find it difficult to do the same against professional small forwards. Like any player in the Swing offense, he’s also expected to be able to hit open 3’s when he’s given them, and did so with regularity. But don’t expect him to be able to find his own shot from anywhere further than 10 feet out. He was a solid defender in college, but again, might have some problems when faced with bigger competition.

Landry should play!
why not try him out for 2 minutes! is screws up take him out! NBA basketball is 50% confidence if doc does not instill confidence in the young guys they will never even be bench players!
