The writing is on the wall
Do we need a transfusion of young, hungry, and athletic?
Gee, guys . . .
same old story! I don’t even know what to say anymore. A game is FOUR quarters and the shot clock is 24 seconds!
I'll be honest
I took a break from the game when we were up 10 to eat pizza with my family – came back to the game and we were 15 down – no idea what happened, and I don’t think I want to know
good thing I’m not superstitious or I’d never eat pizza again
"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers" Henry V
Same thing as every other game, Jeff.
Glad you’re not superstitious too. I can’t imagine life without pizza!
Orlando started playing defense...
…thats what happened.
Worst loss of the year...
…by far. Losing patience with the lack or focus.

Sadly,
is it me, or does it feel like that a lot lately?

A bloody disgrace
This team is a bloody disgrace, not for losing but for the way they lost. If anyone in a position of authority had any cajones they’d admit their mistake, deactivate Sheed and eat his bloody contract.
Sheed wasn't the reason we lost this game
The game turned with the starters in.
No one came out with any fire today (exceptions for Rondo, Quis, and even Glen).
Paul should’ve sat today, and will hopefully sit Wednesday. KG showed up too little too late. Perk was decent defensively, but a ghost on offense. And I’m honestly starting to cringe when Ray tries to create of the dribble, it often ends in a forced shot or bobbling & losing the ball.
Point is. The bench played decent today, but the starters decided to take a quarter off and that’s where we lost.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
Bench was ok, but not Sheed
Late on all rotations, never there to stop the penetrators, lazily hanging out at the 3-point line – getting just ONE rebound in his 19 minutes. Sheed was just terrible, as he has been in every game since Toronto.
I didn't say Sheed was good.
Simply that he wasn’t the reason we lost this game.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
Agree
Sheed wasn’t the reason for the loss, but he should not play much anymore. While Sheldon can’t catch a pass, he at least seems to catch the ball coming off the rim occasionally. I bet he won’t brick every shot outside 6 feet, either. Oh yeah, he is smart enough to pass up shots he cannot make.
Orlando Defense
I didn’t see the starters take a quarter off, I saw Orlando shut our starters down.
I disagree 100%
Orlando did step their defense up a bit.
But for us to score only 11 pts in a quarter is not good – no matter the defense. We stopped being aggressive and got comfortable with our lead. I saw us settle for jumpers, ball movement came to a halt. You saw in the 4th qtr when we tried to get back in it – the energy and determination is there, but we can’t seem to get it together for a full 4 qtrs. The starters sat for such a lengthy time in the 4th because of their lackadaisical play in the 3rd.
Now, I avoid the panic button as much as anyone but the starters did not bring it out of the halftime break. The sense of urgency just wasn’t their in the 3rd the way it was in the first half or the 4th qtr.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
I just dont see the fire…What i did see was Marquis and Rondo getting it done, and despite the amount of shots he had blocked Baby was pretty tenacious.
by RedsBean on Feb 7, 2010 5:13 PM EST via mobile reply actions
on the bright side
when we play these teams in the playoff if we get there… that is
the pressure is on them. we are not going to fare well with our old big three & rasheed was a no show again for a big reg season game.
This was a ugly and dissapointing loss.
Yet another loss when we were up by double digits at half time.
The complete breakdowns in so many games this year are inexcusable for a veteran championship club.
Danny get on the phone and get us some help ASAP!
The Celtics are now the LATE 80's CELTICS - very good team but NOT ELITE - CAN'T BEAT THE BEST!

I’m not sure I’d classify the Magic as one of the best
by KBZ on Feb 7, 2010 5:36 PM EST up reply actions
they went to finals last year and they are tied for the 3rd best record in the NBA with Denver.
by celticspride4ever on Feb 7, 2010 5:49 PM EST up reply actions
Well, record isn’t everything. We still have the 4th best record in NBA right now, and we aren’t exactly playing inspiring basketball right now.
but magic have homecourt over atlanta too
atlanta beat boston 4 times and the magic have not lost to them. atlanta have lost by a combine of 67 points in 3 meetings so yeah record means something there
On the 12th day of Christmas
Now let’s hear how it’s only February, and next month will only be March and the month after that will only be April. Ainge should start making decisions based on next year.
Not the Celtics of the late 80s
The Celtics of the late 80s would not have been outscored 36-11 but a quality opponent.
Celtics cant play on ABC
First the Lakers now this. And why would you trade Ray he actually played well. Sheed sucks.
Ray is shooting 34% from 3 point range.... his PER is 14.. he is now a BELOW AVERAGE Shooting Guard
by celticspride4ever on Feb 7, 2010 5:17 PM EST up reply actions
Defense! Defense!! Defense!!!
I’m sure someone will remind me that the Celtics have the best NBA defensive record, as a way of disproving my point, but as with the LA game, the Celtics again broke down defensively at the worst possible time (this time in3Q).
Now, I’d like to hear someone make a solid case that defense is not a problem for the Cs.

KG is 60% of the player he was 2 years ago, Pierce and Ray are now OLD. They can't physically keep up with elite teams.
by celticspride4ever on Feb 7, 2010 5:19 PM EST up reply actions
Danny needs acquire
A athletic power forward.
With Garnett ailing and Baby not athletic to begin with and not being able to score in the low post without getting his shot block its vital we get one via a trade of buy out signing .
Yes
Athletic, long, strong and good rebounder just what we need as a back up power forward (playing in place of Davis) and playing behind KG.
In any case...
A line up featuring three slowing-down allstars is going to be challenged by quicker legs. Figure in also that perk is not exactly an athletic wonder. At the least, Rivers needs to platoon Ray and Paul. If it came to a trade , Ray would seem the odd man out.
Devil is in the Details
We have a fundamental design problem.
Doc wants the team to concede the OR to get back into their defensive sets. On the surface, that seems like smart coaching, considering that we´re arguably the best team in the league when we play our D.
However, every extra posession (and an OR is exactly that) results in less posessions we`d have to defend, and our turnovers make things even worse. It´s one thing to have the OR low on your priority list, but to simply concede it? Pure arrogance, and a weakness in the design…
Add Doc´s love for the fastbreak, and it´s easy to see why this team is running on fumes.
It´s a bit like the rabbit and the turtle, and we´re the rabbit.
It´s time for Danny to decide where his loyalty lies: with the players, or the coach.
To add my signature on the forums
A good defense starts with a good offense.
Doc has "lost" the team...
The players are no longer listening to him.
Or the players are just plain old. Their minds may be willing but their bodies are not. What can the Doc do? I’ve said before, you gotta infuse the team with some young blood, and Ray is one place to start.
by The Village Idiot on Feb 7, 2010 5:20 PM EST up reply actions
Agree 100%
It is entirely the player`s fault {age}….but they have also zoned-out Doc`s voice.
Yep.
That can happen when players haven’t quite accepted the reality of have deteriorating skills. I watched Allen Iverson go through this last year, demanding starter minutes and making demands to either be started or traded. Well, he got his wish, but reality sank in when as a free agent, he found himself wihtout any bidders.
Players can’t be expected to decide for the team or coach. That’s why they ought to start looking into trades for some of the Big 3. And again, Ray is the best place to start.
by The Village Idiot on Feb 7, 2010 5:30 PM EST up reply actions
I totally agree with you title18!
Doc’s on the bench just for show!
Doc is on his third or fourth team this year!
Different player have been out injured all year! Give him a chance to work on rotations with everyone back, and give everyone a chance to get back into playing shape.

Help is on the way
On February 27th the Celtics play the Nets
Wow
Another game were we put all eggs into one basket (Big 3). Seriously wake up DA, Rondo is the future. Give us hope by getting players to complement him.
Also why is KG starting? He is mediocre at best. BBD is playing with so much heart; Doc time to reshuffle the starting line up.
Sheed is a disgrace, give his minutes to Sheldon.
Sheed was cold offensively
But he did a good job defensively on him (as he has a history of) muscling him up in the low post and denying him good position.
He pushed Howard around well
…at the beginnings of Howard’s possessions. That’s ALL he did well. Repeat: He did NOTHING ELSE WELL. Worse, he did EVERYTHING ELSE VERY BADLY. Including guarding Howard on his way to the rim. Plus no rebounding, no defense, no offense, no jumping, no giving a damn.
Sheed today = 20 minutes, 2 points, 1 rebound
As I ahve been saying for awhile he is only a small part of the problem, but he is NO part of the solution.
When is Sheed not cold offensively?
I understand that you’re trying to find positive aspects of this game but Sheed has been a great disappointment.
Jeff, can we temporarily lift the masked profanity ban?
j/k, but if there was ever a time for blue language, it’s now…
Celtics...R.I.P.
They will finish with a record of 45-37…followed by first round elimination.
Cliche..
Classic Celtics vs. Another good team game of 2009/2010 regular season
- Balanced 1st quarter
- Celtics get a double digit lead at the half time…
-…only to collapse and fall behind in the third by ,again, double digits
- play catch up in 4th..get excited, energized
- only too fall short cause it was too late too little
Lazy. No other word for it. Laziness.
When Howard picked up his fourth in the third quarter, and DIDN’T go out, we should have banged it inside every possession. But no, instead we tried to take contested jumpshot after contested shot while the Magic ran up the points. Not any one person’s fault, the entire team was guilty. The trend finally got broken when TA decided to do the right thing and drive the paint.
I got frustrated and turned the game off after Jason Williams free throws.
Pathetic play. No excuse. Now I gotta go to work, No Superbowl for me.
They are too old to play pedal to the metal for a full 48 which is what they need to beat the elite teams. Wallace is a joke. They can’t defend good enough on the perimeter except for Rondo. I have no idea what Ainge can get done via trade but I don’t think a "Hinrich’ Type would help put these guys over the top. Ainge needs to look at anyone that could help this team athletically, defensively and for the forseeable future.
Hingrich and Tyrus Thomas is a good trade. Hingrich adds toughness and defense plus a good back up point. Thomas provides the athleticism that KG can no longer provide.
by celticspride4ever on Feb 7, 2010 5:29 PM EST up reply actions
that's partly because
Del Negro is a complete joke. He simply regards the Bulls’ playing time as his personal playground
Libertarianism is just Anarchy for rich people
Only hope..
Is to sign B. Russell to a 10 day contract to rip them a new one on the huddle for being lazy on the court.
trade pierce, not ray
0-1 since his return! :-)
Btw, today was an example of a well officiated game where there was a large FT disparity 10. I thought the FT disparity was deserved. The Magic won this game by making their FT’s and shooting 50% from the three point stripe. They are a good team.
Perkins is on my radar a bit… I think the FG% thing is getting to his head…
Looking for a bright spot . . .
. . . and it was definitely Marquis! Surprisingly, I’m finding that I’m not even that upset over this loss. Not happy but not upset. I think somewhere during that third qtr. I officially lowered my expectations for this team.
Perkins should complain
He took 3 shots when he Howard in foul trouble. He should of had 5 more shots in the 3rd.
I give up it’s time to build around Rondo. Start the shedding with Ray.
Paul, Quis, and Tony
..could be an effective wing trio. Q & T could work it in, Paul take it out. Ray may be an afterthought at this point. And Thomas-Hinrich would address the 2 glaring weaknesses:backup for Rondo and front court athleticism.
oh well
Hey I guess the one title is all we’re going to get. It was worth it. Figured we’d get one while the 3 were together, it just happened to be the first year
I've been a Ray defender, but I'm done after this
It wasn’t his fault, but we’re not contenders anymore. Let’s go ahead and trade him. We’ll make a serious playoff run in a few years.
I agree with you about being a Ray defender and now thinking we should trade him. like he’s a huge part in my eyes why the Ubuntu is no longer there. he is trying to show that he’s still great and it’s not working. when we were making a run Ray had the ball leading a fastbreak away. house was wide open in the corner, Ray takes it himself and gets blocked. then later Ray drives into Howard trying to do it himself and turns it over. trade him while we can
by WikedCeltsFan7 on Feb 7, 2010 5:54 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Exactly.
And this comes back to Rondo’s comments recently about playing team ball – guys are trying to do things themselves, even when its not the best option on a play.
I love Ray and I think he is class act all the way around, but I’m not blind to the fact that the guy wants to stay in Boston and is showcasing himself to DA and other GM’s in the instance of a trade.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
Also
There is talk of a lockout with the CBO coming up next year. This year could really be it for this crew.
Where is the Heart?!
I love the Celtics…But they have serious problems right now!!
…first off Sheed’ is just Horrible! There is no energy from him and all he does is take long range shots, I see nothing quality from him at all! Very upsetting
One of these guy’s has to stand up and publicly question this teams heart…like Bird did in the ’84 series! And then they won the whole thing!
Rondo is the only player who seems to be giving 110%. I want to see more of Bill Walker…I mean god damn at least he’ll give some spark!
We need a big move to happen or I don’t see the C’s going anywhere, except nowhere fast!
Its Time
I don’t know what happened to this Team, but it is not a championship caliber team anymore. I don’t know if it is Sheed, or age, or injuries or what. But they are not getting the job done. And I can only fault injuries to a point. And if your not going to win a championship, then Its Time to shake things up, because that was the only reason for putting this team together. And they just do not have what it takes.
Your right
Sheed does nothing and we need young talent bottom line we can’t get attached to the “Big Three” it is time to make moves!
The only good move...
…is when you improve your team. We had young talent three years ago and couldn’t win. I am not opposed to trading anyone, as long as it improves our chances of winning this year.
Doc Rivers
Does Rivers have any clue as to how to react to his team not “showing up” for the third quarter of so many games? All he ever seems to do is sit on the bench with a pout on his face. He most certainly could have a called a time out before the deficit balloned to such a unbeatable advantage for the Magic. He hasn’t quite noticed that as his team ages they become more inconsistent, and he is required to actually do some “hands on” coaching involving some timely personnel substitions. He still thinks that this team will run on auto-pilot as it did two seasons ago. The days of running his starters for big minutes to make up for his total lack of originality on the court ,are over. For example, we would have never known how good of a rebounder Poe was, unless Doc had been forced to play him because of injuries to the starters. Also, didn’t DA have any idea how bad KG’s knees were before he traded for him. I’m glad we won the title the first year he was here, because he seems physically worn out. Just think, we have another two years with those bad knees, chewing up all our salary cap space for TWO more years. AL
The good, the bad, the ugly
The good:
- Davis played hard, looked good… his jumper is looking better with each game. A few more games and he could be all the way back.
- Quis looked amazing good for a guy who has been out that long. Great news.
- Eddie was good.
- Rondo played very well, most of the time.
The bad:
Everybody else, especially the Big 3 and Sheed – whose continued presence on the court in Q3 and even Q4 was really weird, given that he was late on all his rotations, was never there to stop penetrators, lazily hung out at the 3-point line and managed to get just ONE rebound in his 19 minutes
The ugly:
- Q3, obviously.
- Doc Rivers’ brain. Of all the starters you could choose to play ~40 minutes, you picked RAY? The same guy you’ve been overplaying all season long? Not Rondo?? Weird, Doc, really weird. And you kept Sheed in through q3 and much of Q4? WHY in heaven’s name would you do that with the WORST PLAYER ON THE TEAM??
Uh
The worst player on the team is Walker. Sorry, bud. 8 )
Truly, I'm not even sure about that
“First Do No Harm” — under that rule, Sheed is far and away the worst.
You said it Pengaloo...
Your comment is very accurate and true!
Sheed
Sheed=Stiff..He.s old, slow and done. Give Shelden Williams some minutes Doc. If Shelden plays 15 minutes and fouls out playing D and rebounding that’s better than Sheed throwing up 3’s, missing and being nowhere near the hoop to get an offensive rebound.Signing Ray Allen and K.G. was brilliant and allowed the C’s to win banner # 17. Signing Sheed was a mistake. He came into the game and the C’s completely collapsed today Ray Allen’s contract is up take that $19,000,000 plus and invest in some young talent.Ray’s legs will go and so will that jumpshot..
Its one game in Febuaury Guys!
We just lost to the Wizards at HOME.
Dont look to much into this loss.
Just get KG healthy to the playoffs…
"Memphis then used a pick-and-roll to get Conley free and he drove past Shaquille O'Neal for the go-ahead layup."
They ahve done this 10 times since Christmas
And finished 1-7 against Orlando and Atlanta. I think that is a lot more than one game.
Funny how we keep saying
…it’s one game in December, one game in January, now one game in February. 82 games are comprised of one game + one game + one game…….
But yes, the one hope left...
…is that they will get it together for the playoffs. Especially Sheed….who’s bad play is clearly the most reversible, since his effort is so far below par.
I can't wait until we play the bad teams again
Because then the Celtics can play 20-25 minutes and eek out a close win at the end. This team is a good notch below the elite team. Finish the regular season 1-7 against Orlando and Atlanta. This may be wrong, but Breen today said since Cristmas they have blown 10 double-digit leads and lost those games. 9-11 in their last 20. Danny —it’s time. I would put everyone on the block except Pierce and Rondo.
Baby Davis
Looked the best he has since he came back. He really played great defense-better than KG, sheed, etc. I see why Doc kept him in the game so much today.
BS PATROL JUST 1 GAME IN FERUARY?
The Cav’s are destroying teams without Mo Williams and Delonte West. If Leon Powe gets back and is anywhere near the player he was before getting injured just the thought of playing the Cav’s is scary. The Celtics are in trouble and I’m a die-hard Celtics fan.
Cavs
The Cavs were destroying teams last year too, and were lucky not to get swept by Orlando in the ECF playoffs. Regular season wins aren’t everything.
Highlight of the day . . .
Super Bowl commercial that just aired with Bird eating LeBron’s and Howard’s lunch! Made me feel a little better for some strange reason.
They have an excellent bench that is not getting serious minutes
Several of the starters need less time (KG, Ray & PP), but we should be seeing more of Baby, Marquis, Sheldon and the Red Head, fewer minutes from Sheed and House. Yeah sometimes they can light it up but neither of them plays defense worth a damn. I would much rather see these other guys come out and harrass the heck out of the other team and keep the starters fresh. Doc was doing that earlier in the season and he obviously couldn’t turn to Marquis til now, but what about Sheldon and the Red Head?
Reminiscent
Does this situation remind anyone of the team that lost to Milwaukee in the 80’s playoffs?
If they aren't trading Ray...
then start TA and have Ray come off the bench, try something else for godsakes!
Marquis
Marquis will improve after playing a few games after the time he’s been out but will it be enough to get them where they need to be? I don’t think so. THE BENCH DON’T LIE.
Trading Ray
Who’s going to sign Ray at 35 unless he takes a huge cut in pay? That’s why he wants to stay in Boston.
I've never said "I told you so" before, but I have to say it now.
I took a lot of flak before the season started for saying that Rasheed Wallace’s 3-year would become an albatross to this team. He’s been overrated his entire career. A 7 footer who likes to hang around the perimeter, avoids contact at all costs and has never liked working for rebounds. Plus, he’s a big mouth. And now we’re stuck with the 35-year-old version of that.
I remember people before the season debating whether he or Perk should start. What a joke. This guy was checked out last year in Detroit and he’s brought the apathy with him to Boston. I was never a fan, but I’m starting to hate the creep now that he’s defiling the uniform of my favorite team.
No, he is not THE problem with this Celtics team, but he seems to embody everything that is wrong with it: too many 3s, too much reaching on D, too much talking/whining, not enough rebounding. It’s Sheed’s game and now, sadly, it’s the Celtics game. Maybe he (and the team) will have me eating crow in a few months. I hope so. I do.
Consistancy
Injuries have definitely had an effect. With KG in and out of the lineup, defense has been inconsistant at best. PP and Ray have logged heavy minutes and it’s resulted in poor play from Ray and an injury to PP.
I don’t know if getting everyone back healthy with turn this team into world beaters, but it will help.
As far as a trade, Andre Iguodala+Lou Williams for Ray makes some sense.. C’s would get a SG who can defend & shoot and a backup for Rondo. That only works if Philly is looking to shed salary & rebuild.
head games
this is a mental hurdle we are gonna have to overcome real soon
Age is not mental
the C’s were my fav before I moved to the Mouse town, but you cannot reverse the aging process. Injuries linger, pain is constant and knees creak. Doc is not really a Doc, so he can’t make the players well or young.
You had a good run, but the next few years could be painful.
by NC Magic Fan on Feb 7, 2010 7:27 PM EST reply actions
No it's not...
…but that 3rd quarter has NOTHING to do with age. How do you explain the 4th quarter where they got back into it if the age, injuries, constant pain and creaking knees was the reason? It’s not the age, unless they’re thinking they’re ancient. This was the same garbage I saw live Friday night against NJ. Only difference is that you can get away with sleepwalking against the Nets.
They gotta get their heads screwed on straight or the frustration will overflow. Only bad things happend from there.
- JoeB
Two quotes from Doc, all you gotta know...
“We were getting what we deserved,” Boston coach Doc Rivers said, “I love our team on paper, but we tend to be front-runners. When we get a good lead we relax and teams take advantage of it and then you’re caught and it’s tough to turn it back on.”
“One of the guys said, ’We’re better than Orlando,’ and I said, ‘No, you’re not,’” Rivers said. “They knocked you out of the playoffs last year. Orlando’s better than us right now. Atlanta’s better than us right now. L.A. [Lakers are] better than us right now.”
Pretty much says it all in my book, doesn’t it? I agree, especially the part about them on “paper”. The horses are there (the garbage about them being too old is just that, garbage), the focus and mental approach is not. Does the word “overconfident” ring a bell? You’d think that after blowing and even bigger lead in Orlando a couple weeks ago, that it would be fresh in their minds. Not if you’re over confident, it won’t.
Here’s hoping this was a big time slap upside the head. Give credit to Orlando for a great 3rd quarter, but this loss is squarely on the shoulders of the Celtics. Doc sounds extremely frustrated with this bunch, and judging from the other posts here he’s got plenty of company.
- JoeB
good quotes Joe.
Hope the Celtics are listening to that. You’ll see from my post below that I put a lot of it on KG and Pierce still not being healthy, but over confidence is a problem too. If KG and Pierce are going to coast for now and try to save their bodies then everyone else on the roster not named Ray or Rondo needs to bring the kind of intensity we saw last year during our playoff run.
I think Davis is almost there, but the team needs to get him that regular mid-range shot they were last year, rather than seeing him get blocked under the basket every game.
Perk has lost his confidence at the moment. Teams have decided not to let him setup and shoot in the paint anymore and he is frustrated. I think that is affecting him on the defensive end as well, because he has not been the defensive stalwart he was earlier this season.
Tony has shown it at times, but he has to be a sparkplug everytime he comes off the bench.
House got some fire going late, but was still burned defensively too many times.
Daniels is key too. He needs to hit top gear fast.
Sheed has been horrible for awhile now. The way he is shooting, I’d be telling him he’s a defensive role player and that he doesn’t stay on the floor unless he plays hard on that end. I’d rather Big Baby shoot than him right now!
The one thing I want them all to have in common though is INTENSITY!
I've said this before...
but a key problem I’m seeing is that, with the injuries to KG and Pierce, the team has had to defer to Rondo. That works great when he can get us transition offence, but sooner or later, the good teams stop turning the ball over and force us into half court offence. That’s when we are losing the big games, because they keep scoring and we have massive droughts.
Basically, either KG and Pierce get healthy enough to carry our half court offence again or we’re toast. At the moment, you can see that both are out of shape and tentative and they aren’t bringing the intensity they need to. IMO they are clearly trying to preserve their bodies for the playoffs and that is hurting this team right now.
Will that strategy pay off come playoff time? Nobody knows. With a bit of luck they will look like geniuses and the Celtics will roll through to the Finals. But they could just as easily never regain their mojo and we could go out in the first or second round.
I wish Danny would bring in an interim for a few games
I wish Danny would bring in an interim head coach for a small handful of games,
Just to give this team a jolt/new voice/and a dose of reality, aka tough love
I would love for Danny to Hire Coach Bobby Knight, for a week or two, and just allow him to rip into the guys.
Something needs to happen to wake this group up.
Once more, you can't coach age
the C’s need a make over cause it will only get worse. KG is Gimpy, Ray looks like a grandfather and Wallace just sucks.

Well,
Its hard to discern between, Laziness and Age, when there is no effort.
Pierce+Allen+Garnett = 99 years old. 38 years in the Association. I don’t care who you are, that is OLD!

there doesn't seem to be a sense of professional pride any more
the vets all seem perfectly happy with their title because it vindicates their opinion of themselves as great players. They just don’t seem to care about winning because they’ve already done it.
There’s no pride in beating good teams any more. They’re content to show they “could” beat them for 2-3 quarters but not actually put the effort in to put a good team away in solid fashion.
The ship’s off course and won’t get back on course without something significant occurring:
- Doc getting replaced by a coach that’ll light a fire under them →that’s not happening, yet.—-not sure which at this point.
- A trade to shakeup the current chemistry since no one can really point to the team’s chemistry being an asset. If it were an asset, they’d be performing better.
- The home crowd actually booing their lack of effort. This won’t happen but the way they’ve played poorly at home they’ve begun to deserve it. If this ever did come to pass, it’d either wake them up to their poor play or get them to tune out even more
You may have a top 3 or 4 coach
don’t blame Doc for wear and tear on one of the best collections of talent in the last 10 years.

I’m not solely blaming Doc since professionals shouldn’t require motivation but having said that, yes, some of it is on Doc that his team isn’t performing for him any longer. If he can’t get them to play, whether through his own fault or not, time to get some who can get them to play or get someone that will play for him.
Since coaches are easier to replace than players, he’s most likely to go. Also, this team does have the talent to win. What they’re lacking is focus, drive and a sense of purpose.
