Around SBN: Kentucky Football: Tee Martin Reportedly Leaving for USC

Are you guys serious about Kevin Martin? (FG%:0.384!!!)

Kevin Martin wouldn't be better than Ray! Ray isn't old like Pierce or Garnett in his legs and his FG-quote is a way better than Martins. I didn't see the 4 points more as a pro of Martin - they haven't a Paul Pierce in their line up. If Ray have to make 20 points per game, than he would make them. We need a more athletic guy, that can kiss the rim and brings up energy. Therefore go for Iggy Danny !!! Voting for Kevin Martin is Panic, he wouldn't change anything!!!

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Sure, ignore the career FG% just as good as Ray's.

He’s coming back from injury. The point is that not only would he be a fantastic scorer with less years on him than the current Big 3 for this year, he’d also be a legitimate guy for the “Rondo years”

I AGREE

I LIKE KEVIN MARTIN AND THINK HE WILL FIT BETTER INTO RAY ALLENS ROLE BUT I DONE THIS IS A ALL STAR AND STILL CANT SHOOT BETTER THAT RAY ALLEN EVEN THOUGH HE IS OLD. RAY ALLEN IS NOT THE REASON FOR OUR RECENT COLLAPSE.

AND I DONT THINK THAT KEVIN MARTIN WILL MAKE US BETTER THIS YEAR. WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DEFENSE. KG ISNT THE SAME AND RASHEED SEEMS TO JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY.

I WOULD EITHER TRADE FOR IGGY THINKING WE ARENT GOING TO WIN THIS YR AND WE GET WHAT WE CAN FOR RAY ALLEN. OR TRADE OUR EXPIRING CONTRACTS OTHER THAT RAY ALLEN. TRY TO GET A BACKUP POINT GUARD THAT CAN SHOOT THE THREE AND A PF THAT COULD HELP REBOUND AND PLAY DEFENSE (BRANDON BASS MAYBE).

:)

funny…. he (assuming it’s a he) once said he’s not trying to scream, but that some program at work requires all-caps and that’s why he sometimes does this.

course… it only takes a nanojoule of energy to turn it off……. but we won’t quibble will we

What?

What exactly is the big deal about caps lock? I see so many people here getting all worked up about it, and kinda have to laugh. Man people sure are touchy.

Martin has a smaller contract than Andre Igoudala, replaces the shooting they would lose (imagine the shooting backcourt with iggy and rondo, who would stretch the floor so they could drive besides pierce?) and sac has more intriguing players than Philly. (Nocioni, Udrith). the only way to get his team back to championship form is to blow it up and get great players back, not happening with kg’s age and contract. if we can’t get it done this year, might as well get 26ish year old martin and lookk towards the future.

Martin's a good scorer but...

I do worry that he is too tall and gangly to cope defensively with the agile SGs in the league (same guys that give Ray trouble). If someone has defensive stats on Martin I am happy to be proved wrong, but I don’t think acquiring Martin will keep our window open. We need KG to be close to his former self and Sheed to earn his MLE money or this team isn’t going anywhere. Just seems like a sideways move to me.

Martin's Fg% isn't a problem, it's his injuries.

If you’re on a crappy team like Sacramento you’re going to have to take some ill advised shots. And as someone said above, he is coming off of an injury which brings me to my next point. Kevin Martin while a great scorer is very injury prone. He has played one complete season and has been in the league for 6 years.
