Monta Ellis next to Rondo?
take a minute to think about what Monta Ellis might look like next to rondo. Scary right. Way too fast. Now put a pretty fast (and hopefully still getting faster) PF named KG next to him. No one would be able to keep up.
Ok so the trade is Ray for Monta Ellis and Turiaf and it works moneywise but i think it also works logically for both teams. We do need something different and even though Ray is doing exactly what we got him to do, thats not what we need at the moment. We need a sg who is able to play point and able to create his own shot. Ellis is one of the best at that. I think that this trade would lead us into the playoffs with a team that, especially offensively, cannot be stopped.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Gosh no
Monta Ellis is sooo overrated with his numbers inflated in a Golden State system.
He’s inefficient, needs the ball in his hands, isn’t reliable, can’t play defense, and most importantly……HE’S TURNOVER PRONE AND WE HATE TURNOVERS HERE IN BOSTON
Rondo needs someone to spread the floor with him
Ellis and Rondo would create serious problems with our offense. All opposing defenses would have to do is clog the lanes to keep them from getting into the paint, forcing them to become jump shooters. Furthermore, Ellis a combo guard more than a straight up SG and needs to handle the ball alot… If Rondo doesn’t have the ball, he isn’t able to create shots for his teammates… kinda pointless.
Making it even more ridiculous is the height issue, Ellis is undersized at 6’3 and Rondo is only 6’1… Bigger backcourts – esp at the 2 guard (Lakers backcourt, anyone?) would terrorize us.
Don't Trade Rondo or Perk!
What is scary about this is how SHORT our back court would be!
Defense, anyone?
And who spaces the floor now?
Do not want.
what about this....
Celtics get: Monta Ellis, Tyrus Thomas
Warriors get: Ray Allen
Bulls get: Adam Morrison, Sasha Vujacic
Lakers get: Ronny Turiaf, John Salmons
