Good Bye Do-oc, Good Bye Do-oc!
From my first e-mail, or whatever these things are, I was a big Doc supporter. I liked his "Mad Scientist" approach to the game. But for much too long now he's been frightened! He goes with his big guns to a fault and maybe because of that, the team's moral seems to be extremely low (maybe nonexistent) and if the moral is low it can only be Doc Rivers fault. The players (Pierce, etc.) can't be this bad..... Why play Nate Robinson only 5 min's in the first Half? He really seems to be afraid to take out the starters.
Although Doc was great in our championship year, there were always worrying reports. When Kevin Pittsnogle was on the team he used to make him stop every time he made a mistake (Pittsnogle's mistake) and make him say - "My name is Kevin Pittsnogle and I will not make this same mistake again." He ridiculed a player because of that players name! I always had a doubt in me because of that. And then recently it has been reported that he called a few players at the trade deadline and left a message for them that made it seem like they had been traded. Then when the player came to the office, he let him know that it was just a joke. Just a joke? Rivers may not be the pro that we thought he was. His handling of the team is not what it should be. Pierce might be a better coach! Or Ainge himself!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
